Explosion help : V

I have an explosion which works perfectly well when attached to a projectile which is attached to a magic effect.

If i disable the explosion on the projectile, and move the explosion to the magic effect, the explosion never appears.

I have tried various settings but whatever i try the explosion on the magic effect never takes place.

Any help would be appreciated.
