Exporting a Skyrim Installation, does it work? : V

I was wondering... I got a friend that just bought Skyrim and has exactly my same computer specs but is a total neophite when it comes to mods; is it possible in theory to give him MY installation of Skyrim? I mean, something like:

- He downloads and install skyrim from Steam.
- I make a copy of my whole Skyrim directory (X:\Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim) and put it on a DVD.
- I make a copy of my games directory (Y:\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves)
- He gets the two dirs I give him, overwrite his own install dir

Would that suffice or am I forgetting some important files somewhere and/or won't work? I guess the whole procedure could be good even to avoid reinstalling skyrim after a format if it works.
