I fought with the stormcloaks and abit off topic but they should be the rightful winners of the war, but the war should continue in a another DLC instead of it just being put into the timeline and saying that this happened or that happened. Raging the war in cyrodiil could be the best since its the previous game, i don't know bout story wise but HD up oblivion, change dialogue and scenery ETC. and no fast traveling from province to province, just go threw the gate at the bottom of skyrim near falkreath and a gate at cyrodiils border. I know this is alot but i'd rather see tons of DLC than waiting for an Eldar Scrolls VI, if its ever made.... I mean i would have loved to have fought in the great war, potential DLC there too, just sayin.

i agre the war was the best part of the game it should be extended it would be cool if you could fight for the empire yet loose the war takeing forts are to easy becase there are unlimited reanforcements it should be if you run out of reanforcements you losse and that the other side attaks forts to i think that would be asume i want a hole dlc on some war with the thalmor that efecs skyrim and witch side you were in the war

There is that one quest in the MQ where you can set the stage for more or less battles for your side, that can help extend the war.

Do you know if the "Gate" from Skyrim to Cyrodil is locked?

In short, there already exists a massive amount of civil war content, apparently finished and ready to go. All it needs is to be activiated. There is some hope that Bethesda may activate this content later, hopefully in a free content patch.

Actually the coolest part would be expanding on what happens after the civil war is over. I mean, with elder scrol lgames, our choices dont normally directly effect history in the normal sense, so it would be cool if they could tie in the aftermath to booting out the Thalmor, with the Empire changing what it is and Skyrim becoming its own territory either way, so that the empire can have them boot out the Thalmor so the "war" can restart because of some new revelation found out about the Thalmor. /shrug.
