ExteriorInterior new worldspace question..?

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 11:54 am

Hey everyone:

this may be a nooby question but as ive moved into the outside world and been making my own world mod, ive left behind my lokirs tomb mod, which is kool its the first thing i made, it works in the game exterior to interior. a neat little esp plugin if i do say so myself But i need to be certain of something before i make any "interiors" in my Kamdoon worldspace.

1. adding lokirs tomb* to the skyrim world is one thing, but since my "Kamdoon" worldspace is a ESP. file and not a Master file (which i dont know how to make) how do i go about making my interiors? >> As im worried that for every interior, for farms, dungeons, caves etc that ill have to make work alongside my "Exterior" worldspace wouldn't all of those interiors be a new esp file?

and therefor act as all seperate mods? Or am i just worrying for nothing?

say for example my exterior world has this one farm house, i want to go inside that... now, do i have to make an all new ESP. file by starting the kit and only selecting Skyrim.ESM then create a new interior cell, and join the outside world door of the farm from my Exterior* to the farmhouse Interior* , then Save that.. go in game, run my Kamdoon.ESP worldspace go into that, then find the farm and be able to enter the door to the newly made Interior*?

just a little confusing because i dont know if i need to make my Kamdoon world a ESM.file (Master) then join all the many Interior* spaces i need as new esp's by the way** to my world just by connecting the OUTSIDE/INSIDE spaces and saving under my new interior name each time? is that enough to make my Kamdoon space Remember* all the interiors which are actually part of Kamdoon but have to be made as seperate esp's? i hope that makes sense.

thanks :) as there are all the tutorials out there for making a) exteriors and B) interiors* that work for let's say "Lokir's Tomb" but for our own worldspace it doesnt join the dots for that...

you dont need to make a new esp for each interior (would actually be a bad idea)

you can create new interior cells within the same esp by going to the World menu tab in the CK and selecting Cells

right click in the cell view window and create new.

With your Kamdoon.esp loaded when you build your interiors connect your interiors to your farms/dungeons in the exterior of your Kamdoon world. When you save the interiors and your exteriors will save to your esp.

edit: o.O

Hey guys, now im not sure if this is a problem or not. but in the exterior cells when i right click in the cell view window on one of my cell names, and click "edit" i can change the "common" data tab boxes, But the INTERIOR cell im now working on for the Candleharthhall building when i click edit* the window is mostly greyed out and i can't change imagespaces etc... is this a CK bug from the latest patch or something?

P.S - firstly i went to world, world cells, made the "new" one for my interior, and it did let me set a imagespace then.. but going back into that it is now greyed out and i cant make changes to it again.

Yes it's a new bug just click on another cell from the list and click back to the one you are working on an it won't be greyed out.

I have the same problem.

I'm working on an interior, and when I try to set the imagespace by right-clicking edit my interior in the cell view window the lighting tab is just greyed out, and I cannot click OK, just "apply", but that doesn't help either. It dosn't help if I toggle light on/off either.

I tried to load another cell and reload my own, and that didn't help. I also tried to exit the CK and restart and reload, which didn't help either.

Try loading another cell, then editing your own without loading it into the render window. Once you've made the changes, reload your own cell in the render window and the changes should appear. It means you can't see the changes at first but it's the only way I can get mine to work.
