extra settlers

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2016 10:50 pm

i have a charisma of 11 so i am allowed 21 settlers. lately i am seeing settlements with 22 or 23 settlers. now my question is, can settlers wander in after my 21 limit hit? and yes i am aware that i can increase my charisma by alcohol and drugs to get more settlers but i have not done anything to increase it.......also i dont know if its a glitch or not but i am able to send all my companions to a settlement that has over 21 people, yet before the dlc1 update i was not able to.. anyone else having these issues?

Do you have clothing that boosts your charisma at all? That raises the settlement population limit.

The settlements are kind of buggy though. They say that the population is 10+charisma, but my biggest settlement has 48 people (verified by hand count), and I definitely don't have 48 charisma. The highest I've ever boosted my charisma in the game was to like 25 or so.

no i dont have any clothes that boosts it. but i know 21 is my limit cause after 21 setllers in a settlement, i can no longer send more settlers there. so yeas must be a glitch with he system

Similar to QuantumCurt. I've only been able to boost my CHA stat to 19, yet Taffington Boathouse has 36 people living there. All visually accounted for. Starlight had 29 too. And that was prior to using stat boosts. They just kept showing up.

With Automotron you can add to your population with robotic citizens. I've used them as labourers and guards so far. So now Sanctuary, which had been capped at 21, now has 27 settlers.

Ever use Drugs to raise your charisma? I've read reports that this affects it too...

Didn't they raise the limit? To make some room for robots? I have 25 in one place

Had those populations at Taffington & Starlight since last year. I've only added bots to Sanctuary & Greygarden so far.

I've regularly seen one or two extra settlers at a few locations since the beginning. I suspect they are synths

~ (sheepishly asks) ~

Raise your hand if you've ever done a save just so you could murder a bunch of settlers to find out who the synths are, then gone back and reloaded and sent one or two selected people on a "long walk". :wavey:

I did once, but none were synths, it was awkward so I reloaded.
