Skyrim will be ready in 3 minutes on PC and the forums have demoralized me in a way, even though there's alot more positive feedback but I can't tell from which platform, oh man I really want this game to be good but I will be expecting the worst, someone yell an inspiring speech before I launch the game in a few minutes my fellow brethren

Hmm... Well, I have one idea. It's pretty crazy. You could just play the game and form an opinion for yourself. Wild stuff, I know.

The game is yours to play and enjoy as you please. It's up to whether or not that happens.

People on the forums are just the vocal minority. The rest of us are playing the game. Don't let them discourage you, the game is fantastic.

I think it is safe to say that Skyrim is at least on the same level Oblivion was.

I'm going to tell you exactly what I've just told my friend who doesn't have the game yet:

It will take some getting used to, I think, because I dearly loved Oblivion and it's very different. But it's a good different. It grows on you the more you discover. So if at first you're a bit taken aback, give it a chance.

^ This ^ QFT! Skyrim is amazing! A small minority of people are gonna dislike/hate a game no matter how good it is!

All fear lies in anticipation. Take a breath, and accept that it will be what it will be. It's a game unto itself, and forming preconceived notions before you can see for yourself is the way towards disappointment, without fail.

There's a huge amount of negativity on this forum (and all official forums) right after a big game is released. I think it's because the people who like it are too busy playing it. Also, if you have a negative opinion you sort of have more to say than if you have a positive opinion. I mean, if you have several major issues with the game, that's worth a thread, but if you like the game, there's no reason to post a thread about how much you like it.

Edit: The game is fantastic, by the way. Forget about the naysayers and try to enjoy it. If you don't, come here to complain about it :P.

There was a lot of negative posting at first because everyone that likes the game was actually playing it! Now that most people have had the game for 2-3 days theres a lot more positive talk going around. |I think the general consensus is that it is a very good game.
