No Eyefinity support - good job

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 7:15 am

Very dissapointed Bethesda.

No eyefinity support.... i thought you would have learnt after Oblivion and fallout issues, and seeing the hundereds of posts about these issues over the last 8 years.

The UI in super widescreen resolutions doesn't scale.

Anyone know the commands to adjust the FOV of the UI ? if it even exists..

grrrr

here's the broken UI in action

press console command (key ~) and type FOV 90, for example (i think 75 is the default number)

See this thread for more information: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1255692-skyrim-pc-ini-and-console-tweaks/

In there you can see SS for comparison (80 ,90, 100,...)

I also am disappointed that there is no eyefinity support. I spend good money on my setup mainly for this game and now there is no support. So now I don’t know if I want to play this anymore.

Come on Bethesda you know better than to leave us in the cold on this. People buy this kind of setup because of games like this.

So I kneel down and say:

PLEASE FIX THIS

Dude, did you not read my post?

I'm talking about the "User Interface". It's fooked in large resolutions, it goes off the screen, making the game unplayable.

You ask this "Anyone know the commands to adjust the FOV of the UI?" and I give you the answer. What more you want?

you've listed the FoV of the camera, not the UI

thanks anyway, appreciate the interest

heres an example of fooked up UI in superwidescreen

Ok, it seems the problem is only in the FOV for UI / menus? They are to much stretched for your resolution.

Probably ATI support will solve this soon with a patch, but there is in .ini file a command for this. Look for "isafehud" and try to chance the value (not sure about this, just reading from another forum)

MAKE A BACKUP FIRST OF THE FILE (skyrim_default.ini)

OK, if you have the same problem for Fallout and you fix that, probably the same solution for Fallout will work in Skyrim too... Best of luck ! :tops:

This is very disappointing from Bethesda. It must have been a hurried port from the xbox 360 because it looks like a lazy effort for the PC version. I can't believe that Skyrim is unplayable on multi-monitor high rez systems. After much tweaking I am able to get the game running at 5760x1080 with a decent FOV but the bloody menus don't scale and make the game pretty much unplayable. Please Bethesda understand that many PC gamers are not gaming on 1080p TV screens. Cheap, low budget indy games developers can have their games successfully running at eyefinity rez straight out of the box (eg. two worlds 2, torchlight, minecraft etc) . It should be an easy task for a AAA developer like Bethesda, with their resources, to sort this problem out. The way it plays right now I feel like someone slipped an Xbox 360 Skyrim disk into my pc case.
