Fable 3 is currently free on XBL, or so it was when I downloaded it on my Xbox. I was informed by another forum and it worked for them also, so it's legit. It may or may not already be fixed because Xbox.com says it's still priced, but it was free on Xbox itself when I got it.

Edit: Has a $39.99 price tag + tax I'm thinking it was free for you because you previously bought it over XBOX live and deleted it from the hardrive they don't charge you twice for tha same item unless for what ever reason you made a new gamer tag and bought it with that

I love RPGs, and thought the first Fable was an average game, but 3 is terrible.

Probably. It's free, what have you got to lose?

But honestly, its a very average game. Fable 3 has good voice acting....and honestly, thats about it. Combat has been dumbed down to 1-button spamming, your character doesnt change as a result of how you 'live' as much as in Fable 2, the story is very average (some characters are either criminally underused to appear to serve little purpose) and arbitrarty leaps and bounds that would have stuffed up the plans and strategies of 95% of the people playing it, and the "Good/Evil" choices are even more silly than they were before.

Its the sort of game where you have far more fun trying to pick out which VA did which character. So is it worth it for free, yes. You'll get a few hours of enjoyment out of it, then put it away and never feel the desire to play it again.

I give Fable 3 a 1/10 the worst fable game ever, go fable one woot woot!
