Fable: The Journey Kinect only?

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 10:10 pm

Ok maybe I misunderstood Peter Malyneux but did he say the new Fable would be Kinect only? I mean when I first saw the trailer last year I was already pretty sure it was going to be crap. Now I know it will be complete garbage if it is Kinect only. He is just milking what little the Fable franchise has left, he won't let it die peacefully.

It is Kinect only, correct. It's a first person rail shooter.

The idea SEEMS stable enough... But after Fable III I don't trust Lionhead. At all.

The problem with Fable is that Molyneux keeps adding superficial "immersion" elements that don't enhance the game at all, sometimes detracting from it like the menu system (or lack of) in Fable 3.

This just takes it to a new level. What would be a simple game with a normal controller, now becomes a guessing game trying to figure out how to do basic tasks. And that's exactly the way Molyneux wants the game to feel, which is not something I agree with.

I really enjoyed Fable.. Fable 2 was alright, Fable 3 svcked. So I am guessing I really don't need to run out and grab a Kinect lol

Never played Fable 1, Fable 2 was ok, and Fable 3 had the potential to be good but failed horribly. I don't have a Kinect and don't plan on getting one so I guess I'll pass on this one.

I don't like the idea of rail-games. I wish the Kinect was more like the PSMove or whatever.

I thought II was the best one with the original a close second. III was ok but it lacked a lot. He killed his own series and now he can't admit to himself that it is dead so he keeps pumping out more crappy watered down versions of it.
