That does not explain why one of the female nords who used to be with the companions has a clean face, she was turned, and for the male side, there is a wood elf that doesnt have that slit on his face, who was turned as well. It is a mess up on bethesdas part, thats it.

Yes...bit of an issue. One would think that all the ale, mead and black-briar best that my alcoholic nord warrior guzzles would rinse that blood off his lips as well, but apparently it doesn't.

Eh, I can't explain the other vampires though I don't think it's a mistake on Bethesda's part. Undead aren't normally meant to look pretty. And the slit makes my Dunmer Vampire actually look like a vampire.

No, it makes you look like the mutant freaks from blade 2. The wood elf and nord smith in castle volkihar are by NO means pretty. It is a mistake.

It's a Bug. The tint mask that should make you paler glitches and you get the mud splattered tint mask by accident. You'll also find Nord and Breton females don't get their pointy canines either.

The red philtrum line however is definitely deliberate.

It also looks like the vampirehead normal map is being picky about who gets it which is why some NPCs have the bat nose and the player doesn't.

It's not canines. But simply fangs. K9 refers to the teeth that dogs have.

Unfortunately the dirty face bug is something that has been in skyrim since release and outside of mods I don't think there is a fix, in terms of being ugly, well that's why I like mods. My vampire looks quite normal thank you.
