Faction Locks, races, specch, etc

So the other thread reached its post limit and I think this is the most important topic we have so far.

Personally I agree with the faction areas and your character being locked into it, however I do not agree with Zenimax that each faction should be race locked, instead you should be able to ....

1) Choose your race

2) Choose your class

3) Choose your faction area

This would allow Zenimax's mega server technology to better serve the community especially on opening day because the developers have said that this mega server will eliminate players rolling on seperate servers, and then they can't find each other because they have created on seperate servers. The mega server is supposed to stop this from happening however by race locking these faction areas, for example Ebonheart Pact is limitted to Dunmer, Nord, and Argonian, Zenimax is creating a 66% chance that you still will be separated by the fact that you chose a race for one faction say Daggerfall Covenant, and your buddy chose a Dunmer which is locked into the Ebonheart Pact.

Also this actually fits ES lore better then race locking the factions because in the past all ES games have included all the races in the province the game was taking place in, and with the way they want to do it there would only be 3 races in each faction area.

Also I would personally love it if they would allow limitted cross faction speech, which they have said they won't allow. However by doing this Zenimax is basically telling RP'ers that they may as well go find a different game to play because RP'ing between the factions would flourish in ESO with cross faction speech and basically RP won't be taking place without it. RP with zero consequence is both boring and a waste of time, so in actual fact the only good RP is between enemies.

I don't want any chat channels between factions and no whispers because I think that sets it up just to be a tool to use for a spy to sit safely in his or her realm and tell the enemy everything about their own realms war plans.

Instead what I want is a simple /say function that only works in Cyrodiil and only when opposing players are close enough that they would be able to "hear" each other.

Also I would like it if they would introduce a language skill so that the player who wanted to use cross faction speech would have to invest 5 skill points into it and two perks, one perk for each realm that you do not belong to. This would basically eliminate those players who only want to use cross faction speech to trash talk the enemy because they would never want to spend 7 skill points to do something that is basically useless to them anyway.

Anyway there are my ideas....please discuss.

Edit: sorry about spelling Speech wrong in the title and it won't let me edit that now...

Right off the bat I'd like to bring up a point about the war.

The main war is between the Imperials and the rest of Tamriel. This is the first and foremost focus. It would not be unreasonable for cooperative servers to exist, with the implication that the factions simply have a rivalry against each other rather than all-out war between them. The majority of players have said they prefer the ability to travel all of Tamriel, and the majority of those would want to play cooperatively between factions.

This simple addition will satisfy a large, large number of players without affecting anyone who likes it the way it is.
