Failure to shoot issue

Post » Fri Dec 10, 2010 12:24 pm

Not sure if this is just me but i have had multiple occurrences where i cannot shoot anyone. I click the left mouse button and nothing happens. I can still access the PIP boy and menu screens and such but no bang bang pew pew.

I exit the game and come back and its gone.

Enjoying the game very much and luckily have not experienced as many bugs as many others apparently have.

Great game Obsidian/Bethesda! Just listen to the forums...release patches...and we'll have a beer when its done!!! :foodndrink:

I've seen the same thing, nothing happens... I'll sit there just whacking the key for ages and nothing will happen, then boom, it starts firing.

As far as I can tell, its directly related to performance, and was an issue in Fallout 3 as well... I just never got it enough to worry in Fallout 3 because I never had any performance issues. I get them all the time now, sadly, in places I really shouldn't.

Same here, but so far I've only noticed it while using the grenade launcher. After accessing the pip-boy and then closing the pip-boy, it seems to fix it for awhile.

I've had this happen with my copy as well. I usually hit V for vats and it works again. Either that, or try bringing up your pipboy and closing it again...or was that what triggered it? I don't remember...
