Fairly worked about the 'Day One' patch.

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 8:45 pm

Hearing the news of the day one patch i became a bit worried. Im assuming the patch will be applied via xbox live. Due to the location of my house I do not have a broadband connection, and i use a 3's Mobile broadband dongles (which when being excessively used are awful..). Because of this i don't have xbox live. I was just wondering if there was another way to apply the patch when i finally get my hands on a copy?

Thanks for the help.

You're going to have to get on the internet somehow. I don't believe the X-Box will let you install it from storage media.

Nope. You'll have to bring your console to a friend's house to get the update.

There are routers that can connect through a mobile broadband device that you already have. But you have to get the router to do that.

Our Xbox slim has built in wi-fi, only just found that out when I realised I'd have to connect it to internet to get the update for Skyrim  In my defence my husband bought the Xbox and neither of us bothers with on-line gaming.

You can apply patches and the like with a USB stick, that's what I used to do on our old Xbox.

If you have an internet dongle, you can share internet to your box via the PC

it's pretty easy to do just takes some technical skill and/or ability to Google things

try it out man, call up a tech savvy buddy and ask him to help maybe
