Fall of Reno

Been awhile since I've been here, so I recently got out of my cave of Game Dev Forums, and decided to return here, but as I haven't been here awhile I may or may have not forgotten what the terms Fan Fiction means, but knowing my knowledge which consists of a monkey playing frisbee with a man acting like a dog, barking around the place, I give you the Fall of Reno, if you have played Fallout 2, you may know Reno as the Las Vegas of the wastes.

Fall of Reno

The vast casino lights shone into the fluorescent night sky, people gambling their caps for more, like the good old days before the great war, where people will give up their money for more, I guess even after 200 years of people fending for themselves, a old habit still grows strong despite of all the new dangers that lurk around them. But unlike then, when america had a government to control us, Reno is full of mobsters of whom run the town. This isn't nessescarily bad, as they did run the place with great care, they made it a great area to visit, but this all went down hill. After the recent renovation of Jet, "Ultra Jet", Ultra Jet is a brand new type of Jet purposely aimed for Ghouls, so they can open up their market.. But without warning, Ghouls started to flood Reno for more. Here is when the infestation began..

2 years after Ghouls began asking for more Ultra Jet, as this is when the Ultra Jet was quite new, there was some side-effects the creators didn't ask for, it made Ghouls turn Feral. As Reno was a town which was home to many ghouls, of-which most of them was addicted to Ultra Jet, atleast half of their addicted population of Ghouls was turning feral, the smooth-skin population started to get scared of the consequences. As the outbreak of feral ghouls gradually became worse, the families of Reno started to fall one by one beginning with the Mordinos. As the Feral Ghouls still carried their addiction to Ultra Jet, they was able to sniff out the Jet from miles away, and as it turns out the Mordinos are the head of Jet production. Big Jesus Mordino survived their onslaught and managed to escape the city, but as he left Desperado Casino was no more then a Feral Ghoul infested mad house. Since the fall of Mordinos people started to flee from the casinos and their homes, the Wright family also took the chance to flee, this also meant that the Railway station, East Side Manor and Sierra Army Depot was all for the taking for the other families.

A few months later and the Ghoul situation becoming worse every week, despite of the Feral Ghouls, the Salvatore family declared war on the Bishop family, due to their cowardly behaviour in taking the Wright's previously owned land. The war was nothing but little quarrels on the streets of Reno. But unlike the Salvatore family the Bishops was planning something unspeakable selfish... With the Mordinos drug depot empty and the Bishops being the only ones to have a good supply of Ultra Jet, the Feral turned towards them, but rest assured that the Bishops was using this against the Salvatores. In a desperate attempt the Bishops ran out on the streets planting all the Jet in all of the Salvatores land. The Feral instantly ran towards the Jet hotspots with great force, the Salvatore family then fought for themselves killing any last Feral Ghoul in the Jet hotspots. After being victorious in the Bishop Family plans against them the Salvatore Family took the fight back. Firing missiles at all the Shark Club Casino, in a few minutes what stood the Shark Club Casino was no more. The next coming months was full of death, and agony all due to a cowardly attempt of sabotage.. But hope was to come.

The turning point, with the Salvatore and Bishop family still intact and the feral infestation hitting a all new high, Salvatore and Bishop families joined together in a pack for their last chance to keep Reno alive...

As the next long 3 years passed by, Reno was nothing but rubble due to fights on the street, bodies lie of the street both ghoul and human, but no fight is a fight without a victor, but in shame there was none. Both of the families fell, aswell as the Feral Ghouls, but whom is the victor of this drug fuelled fight.. None of the families are victorious nor was the ghouls, the victors are Raiders and Slavers, after the fight between ghoul and smooth-skin, the Raiders from cave system in the broken hills came out to claim Reno, and doing so Reno became a place for trading slaves, and a great spot for the Raiders to plan.

As years passed by and more and more Raiders infested the place, it became a major stronghold for Raiders, but during this time period Arthur Maxson came to rule over the Brotherhood of Steel
and did a major crackdown on Raiders, in the coming months the Brotherhood started a major takeover on Reno killing all Raiders and Slavers on sight, the Raiders and Brotherhood fought on the land like the Ghouls and the Families, but this time someone won and the Brotherhood claimed their victory with great honor, and now a major renovation of Reno is being done, and a statue of all the brave men and women of both fights that happened in this town was erected.

Yeah, but its based around the Fallout 3 era from 2277 to 2287 hence how Arthur Maxson is now the ruler of the Brotherhood.

Hehe, I haven't got one achievement for the Bobble-heads, just alot of quest achievements, and still need to get all the Karma/Level Achievements and well alot more.

An interesting read! Of course, for my Fallout 2 character, the fall of Reno happened much earlier, and, in fact, its fall was by http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/6594/falloutmassacre.png.
