Fallout 3 No Disc issue

Greetings.

Recently (2 days ago, actually) I decided to revisit fallout 3 for a playthrough, in anticipation for 4's release. Now, here's the issue: I am currently not home, and will not be till September 1st, and I don't have my disc with me. From what I've heard, fallout 3 can run without a disc, if I simply run fallout3.exe instead of the launcher, so long as I have installed/ran it in the past with the disc - which, needless to say, I have done several times. When I do that though, a window pops up from SecuROM saying, essentially, "No disc detected, please insert authentic disc" (roughly translated). Now, I would like to know if there is any solution to this issue.

Details:

I have Fallout 3 Game of the year edition, bought upon release from a local retailer. The game is updated to patch 1.7.0.3, which as I read online, should have solved my issue - it didn't.
