Fallout 4 for Xbox 360 and ps3 Bethesda please read

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 11:42 am

My name is josh hi Bethesda please read this if you see it. I am 13 and cannot afford an Xbox one or ps4 there are many others who are in the same position as me. Please if you can bring fallout 4 to the Xbox 360 you can just lower the graphics or something like mortal kombat X did. If you do this me and many others would save up all our money just to buy fallout 4 for the Xbox 360 and PS3. I was first introduced to your game "Skyrim" by watching some YouTube and it was in my most suggested. That was around 4 years ago... Since then I bought two copy's of Skyrim (one broke so I bought another one) and I got a used fallout new Vegas. Recently as in today my fallout new Vegas disc was unreadable (that's what I get for buying it used). I still have Skyrim and it's still fun messing around and stuff but when you have 5 level 100 characters (about 400 hours of Skyrim) it gets repetitive. I don't know what I will do while I'm busy waiting for you guys to do two things which have a 0.00000000097636844% of happening.
A) Actually reading this
B) Actually releasing it for Xbox 360
In about 5 years I am hoping to go to Baltimore for graphic arts and after that I might apply at either Bethesda ( you guys are awesome) or Ubisoft. I really want to use fallout 4 as a reference for maybe a future game I might make and it's really hard to do that with no Xbox one to play it on. Also I know you announced that it could not be released on Xbox 360 because of what you guys are doing with it I think that's awesome your adding something that huge but maybe you could tone it down a little then release an edited version for 360 anyway again I'm Josh and please if there is any way at all of doing this I would be the happiest 13 year old alive

I am sorry to say, but your out of luck..

it is impossible, and would take far more than just turning down the graphics.. looking at the minimum specs on steam atm, and the 7th gen consoles really couldn't handle that in their wildest dreams. as neither has the RAM or a CPU near powerful enough, and just dumbing down the graphics won't change that..

see, some games are built from the ground up to work on both 7th and 8th gen consoles, with the 8th gen running just a little better. such as Tales of Zestiria which came out recently, or Persona 5 which comes out next summer..

while others are designed purely for the 8th gen, these being able to take advantage of the additional power and features the 7th gen just don't have..

still though, Christmas is coming up, so why not try and ask your parents or something?

Bethesda will not be releasing Fallout 4 on PS3 or Xbox 360.
It would be impossible anyways, since it was designed for the current gen of consoles and PC.

And since you mentioned it, Mortal Kombat X was actually cancelled for the older gen consoles, and it's a much simpler game than an open world FPS game, so it shows how many new gen games just are not designed for the older systems anymore.

You're going to have to upgrade, and that's that. Also I don't think Bethesda devs read this anyway. Even if they did, it isn't realistic or cost-effective for them to downgrade a massive game for a small portion of players who either cannot or will not upgrade.

But definitely good luck to you in your future career in graphic arts, I hope you can land a great job when you're done, maybe even at Bethesda Game Studios. :)

If you're not a troll then i'm sorry that you cannot afford to upgrade at this time. But it just isn't in Bethesda's interest to downscale the game to work for the old consoles. Also 13 is quite young to be playing a Mature rated game.

I am certain that there are 8 year olds that are fans of GTA due to their parents not spending the time to research games to determine if they are appropriate for their kids. Although, 13 seems to be old enough to marry and go to war hundreds of years ago due to low life expectancy. So if 13 year olds can do that, then they can play a violent video game.

Dude.... Go mow lawns, wash cars, or clean neighbors windows or do something to earn money to buy a new Xbox system. Trade in your Xbox 360 and maybe some old games and you won't have to earn much. If you work hard for a week after school you should have plenty to buy the game and system.

This is what I and people my age did when we were young and needed cash. What the hell has happened to kids these days... You can't just expect magical money to appear or Bethesda to cater to a 10 year old machine.

This post reminds me somewhat of my own youth when I used to have to ask my parents to drive me to the store and to buy me game(s). I could usually get any game I wanted for my birthday or Christmas but I always thought to myself, "I can't wait until I have money and my own car, I'll be able to buy whatever game I want, when I want it." Somewhere in the back of my mind I always thought, "I'll not even be playing video games when I'm older." Yet here I am, 36 and the ability to buy any game when I want it is just as awesome as I thought it would be when I was nine years old. Ha. It's the simple things in life I guess. I'm just glad I have a relatively inexpensive hobby as an advlt. I'm far from being rich but $60 for a game and $400-$500 for a console or PC upgrades every few years is nothing.

I'm still trying to figure out why the OP won't work to buy the console. I was working every day after school at 13 so I could buy things I wanted...

Kids now are lazy as sin.

Yep, could take longer than this, but you can definitely do it. Talk with your parents and brainstorm a few different ways you can save up for it.

When I was 10, I started working one summer as a door-to-door salesman, managed to buy quite a lot of video games and random stuff.

considering the time of year, people should be stocking up on fire wood.. you can make a killing stacking and re-stacking peoples firewood, i made some rather substantial spending cash back in highschool doing this

Agreed.. It may take a few weeks but it is worth it if you want to buy something.

Kids would rather spend thier time complaining about not being able to afford something instead of spending that time working so they can afford the said item.

For bethesda to waste tons of time to make this ps3 and Xbox 360 compatible would be less time they put into the game.

To the OP... I hope you do find a way to get the new system and Fallout 4! Brainstorm ways to raise the funds and it will make it that much sweeter when you pop the game in the console and kill your first radroach :)

Ha what did you sell door-to-door? I sold http://www.dutchbulbs.com/, no joke, then I also sold pizzas where they'd order the pizza from the pizza parlor then we'd deliver it the next day. They were both more like fundraisers for me so people didn't mind helping out and then waiting to get what they paid for haha.

There's tons of ways for kids and teens to make money around the community, you just have to try to look, and you have to want to do it too.

Sorry but isn't Fallout an 18? I'm not that naive to think under age players aren't out there, I was one myself. But I wouldn't drink underage then write a request letter to the beer company.

On the flip side, consoles are very cheap these days. A new PS3 or 360 release are still £40. So maybe save up some more?

You know that in those time girls were married off with children by the same age which as we know is no longer acceptable. Also the death penalty, torture, the list goes on. Society evolves and there are systems like this in place for a reason.

Save your money, and maybe when you're old enough to play an M-rated game, you'll be able to afford an XB1 or PS4 to play it on.

"Get a job". Sorry if that sounds harsh, I don't mean it to be. I got my first job when I was 11 and never stopped working from then on. Worked nights or weekends and on school breaks. To get a job that young is tough but I would suggest you ask your parents/family/advlt friends if there is any work they you could do for them directly or for a small business that may need help filing/scanning documents or stuffing envelops or start baby sitting. Working at a young age was extremely gratifying to me as I became more independent of my parents earlier then most of my peers.

A) its literally impossiable to fit a 35gb high def game with incredible depth into a 360, GTA V was its peak and thats even better on xbox one.. sorry to say.
B) they most likely wont ever read this, either

I would agree on talking with your parents about the situation. After all, you will likely need their approval to purchase the game (at least in the US). Getting a part-time job is a good solution, as several have already mentioned. When I was a kid on the farm we raised livestock and sold them for money. When I turned 14, I got a job at the local grocery store. With the holidays coming up, a lot of stores are looking for part-time help. Most importantly, first talk things over with your parent or parents.

The leap to new-gen systems allows the devs to embrace the potential of the next-gen console technology.

So, only with the next-gen consoles they can do much more, without the technical limitations of the older consoles and because of the experience and size of those new open world games. !!!

Meaning, to keep the same experience without cutting content out.

Bethesda has promised a deeper customization and nuanced gameplay, and as it seems Bethesda is focusing on the next-gen consoles power, to archive that.

Also, Bethesda showed off an impressive amount of additions coming to Fallout 4, which will make it the most engaging, in-depth game the developer has ever created.

So, fingers crossed...+

I would suggest talking to your parents about the situation, others have suggested to work (the whole mow loans bit) but thats a bit of a rareity these days, no one is really paying kids to do oddball stuff anymore, i would suggest selling your 360 and some games you dont play anymore, and perhasp asking other family members. Do you by chance play any card games? such as yugioh? if you do check out some of the card prices and try and sell them, in yugioh, their are a fair number of cards that are worth a pretty penny, and their are plenty of buyers.
