Fallout 2 Progression help

Post » Tue Aug 04, 2015 4:15 am

So I found Vic locked up and helped him fix the radio (luckily I had grabbed the radio in his house before coming to the Den just in case I wanted to sell it)

Now I have to pay to get him out or I heard you could kill the guards...

BUT..

I barely have anything in this game, just the crappy rifle you get from Vic's house and a few other misc supplies I picked up and I only have like 200 dollars... did I come to the Den too early? What did I do wrong? I'm simply following the main quest and already I'm being hit by a wall.

Is there any easy ways to either get armored up to take on those slavers, or any easy ways to make 1000 bucks? (I'd still like to know how to get some better gear though)

Thanks.

edit: And no early Navarro run suggestions please

Did you do the quests for Lara? There's quite a bit of easy money and XP in those. Also there was better gear in Klamath in the tunnels. Its easy to miss though.

Yep, definitely missed the Klamath gear. Should I get better gear before doing Lara's quests?

You can probably get by without it. You won't be much of a factor in the last fight with the pipe rifle obviously but your allies can usually handle it by themselves. You can even get better gear from the enemies in that one.

If you have Sulik you will definitely be fine.

Also if you really want money and gear you can always just go full murder route and kill Flick or Tubby or someone. There is no law in the Den.

May just go back and grab the stuff. Kind of tired of using the pipe rifle.

Thanks for the help :D

If you are on a low level, DO NOT arrange fight with them. They will kill you.

Me? I always kill Tubby in cold blood (west side, in front of that cassino) and loot his merchandise. Great stuff there, you first good pistol.

Just freed vic. Quick question. Do I need to give him a weapon or does he have one already?

I don't believe he has a weapon, but whether he does or not, you're going to want to equip him with a good one at some point down the road, along with ammo. Absolutely essential in making your companions effective.

You have to give a weapon and a armor to all your companions. I like to have with me the trio that can use PA.

Vic and Cass - good with shotguns and snipers.

Sulik - .223 pistol. Later, with enough ammo, he′s a killer machine with the mega power first. DONT GIVE A SMG TO HIM. unless you want him burst your ass.

So after about 2 to 3 hours of figuring out how to not get banned from Vault City and actually become a citizen ([censored] you 'First Citizen')

I've found out there is nothing talking about vault 13... so... I have no clue where to go.

Also, right now, I have Vic and Sulik following me who seem to be rather good.

Vic: 10mm pistol

Sulik: Sharpened spear

Forget the main quest. You already have your car? You really need a car

his how you upgrade

As for your question, if I remeber right, you have to use the PC in 3 floor of Vault 8. It will give to you the location of Vault 15.

You're really under leveled and equipped for Vault 15. I would recommend checking out some of those settlements you got put on your map in Vault City.

Well I just got the car. Guess I'll do a bunch of side quests and level up before going to vault 15

What level should I be before heading to vault 15 (I'm assuming that's how I continue the Main quest line, or else I'm completely out of ideas)

Got a package from a guy in vault city. Also got Cassidy.

Went to Bishop, he attacked me so me, Vic, Cassidy, and Sulik slaughtered them (barely..)

Did the mordino quests then stopped when they said to kill salvatore and instead became a made man for the salvatores.

Doing pretty good right now with Vic (Hunting rifle), Sulik (Spear because he refuses to use the guns I give him), and Cassidy (Combat shotgun). And I use metal armor mark 2 and I use the .44 magnum and the CAWS.

Why Bishop attack you? You dont delivery the package?

after New Reno, go to NCR, you have some easy quests there to level up. And one of then teach you how to enter in Vault 15.

If you find the .223 pistol, give to Sulik.

After looking it up I figured out that because I asked the guy who gave me the package for some sort of payment, this causes bishop not to trust you and thus he attacks you when you give him the package.
