Would you play a game set in the United Kingdom and what story would you give it?

Hard to say, I think it would almost be kind of funny to find out that the rest of the world was completely untouched by the nuclear war between the US and China.

a ) YES!
b ) Don't know, hadn't thought much about that. I imagine it would be quite different from Fallout set in the US - fewer huge expanses of wasteland, large urban locations geographically closer to one another and hence different tensions both within and between settlements... it could make for a very interesting setting.

Impossible.

#1: That many nukes going off would do terrible things to the rest of the world'd climate/atmosphere.
#2: America's 'credit crunch'/'recession' had/is having a sizable impact on the world economy. What do you think would happen if we simply disappeared as a global player one day? Complete melt-down. Same for China. If we returned fire and did to China what is done to America in FO that'd also destroy the world economy. If even one of the 1st world nations simply vanished one day the rest of the world would go to [censored].

I'm not saying the game would be impossible. I was directly replying to the comment about the rest of the world being fine after the war.

I'm sure a fantastic game could be set in the UK. British humor is hilarious.

True so there would be an 'affect' but not necessarily world ending. I mean if Americans (one of the major receivers of nuclear hellfire) survived in fairly high numbers, much of the world could be fairly untouched and living in some sense of normalcy after undergoing maybe a 20 or 30 year depression, but not necessarily a complete collapse or destruction of those societies.

Ah, I see you carried the idea over to a new thread :)
What I think would be cool if there was a Fallout: New Kingdom (or whatever it would be called), would be if we could find (or buy) the http://www.crownminiatures.com/British%20Crowns/thejewelledsword.html

Fallout Old London. Heck yeah, that would be great. You could explore all the historic places, roam through the underground, steal the crown jewels and maybe even visit Albert Square.

We're talking about the UK here - allies of the US and host to US military bases. If the US was targetted with multiple nuclear strikes I'm sure we'd have had the you know what kicked out of us at the same time!

I have an american cousin, he says that the only things he knows about us are what he's seen in movies.
And not the factual kind either.

As long as one of the missions wouldn't be to save David Cameron from a burning building full of radiation, then fine! I don't think I could bring myself to do that
