Faralda or Console

Post » Sat May 26, 2012 2:29 am

I've been wandering around Winterhold college looking for Faralda (Destruction trainer at Winterhold) for 10 minutes. Where does she hang. I even waited in the library, where all the other trainers usually visit once a day.

That the npcs have a life, and wander around is one of the coolest things about Bethesda games. They're not just sitting at some kiosk somewhere, 24/7 unmoving, waiting for the PC to sell or buy stuff. But it is also one of the most frustrating.

Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas all had console commands that would teleport you right to whichever character you wanted, wherever it happened to be. You typed "player.goto and it would put you right in front of that character, wherever it was.

Uespwiki has both the reference ID and the base id's for the important, unique npcs of Skyrim (and Oblivion). But the command from the other 3 games doesn't function anymore. Just says "unable to parse this line" which means that it either that it doesn't exist as a command, or the syntax or id # is wrong.

Anyone know if this function still exists. Or better yet, does anyone know Faralda's daily schedule? Or even just a certain time that she will be at a certain place?

Thanks.

Yeah - similar commands:

prid 0001C1A5
moveto player

That will do what you want - but instead of moving you to her it summons her to you. If it gives you an error or nothing happens, then type "resurrect 1" and "enable" before "moveto player"

If you want to go to her then (without anything selected, so if you did "prid" click on a wall twice to have nothing selected):

player.moveto 0001c1a5

Not entirely sure if that works as I prefer to summon lowly npcs to me rather than teleport to them.

Ah! Many thanks. That will works just as good as taking me right to her. This time at least. Thanks.

1. Go to Hall of Countenance 2nd Floor
2. Wait until 3 am
3. Wake her up and train your skills
4. Cast paralyze on her
5. Sneak and spam pickpocket on her
6. At the moment she recovers from paralysis, you are in her inventory
7. Take the gold even if it tells you 0%
8. Profit

Oh wow, Cool. You mean there is a Paralyze spell in this game too? Awesome. I thought it would be removed with all the other good illusion spells. Thanks!

It's moved to alternation.
