I have now played throught the entire mod - excellent work! :tops:
Nice story, well written dialogue and an excellently made dungeon.

My only minor critisism is that the three fat baddies should not have their path to the player blocked, as that makes it too easy to snipe them. Perhaps spread them around the dungeon instead?

And that no good orc of a smith should have a note on his shop door saying he's out hunting in the weekends. :banghead:

I was relieved to learn that you're female. ;)

Actually I liked BSG; I even vaguely remember seeing the Battlestar movie when I was a kid.
Most sci-fi series are just soap operas set in a sci-fi setting, like Above and Beyond (yuckety yuck!) but BSG was not too bad, despite some annoying characters, of which two of them can be found in Faregyl Village...

:D

This sci-fi geek is glad the names didn't go totally unnoticed. :)

I'm sure it becomes obvious pretty quick that they're just names. But yes, definitely easter egg material for those who know BSG.

The extra worldspace in the ESP is intentional. It's not accessible normally right now, but may be made so if some reasonable way can be found to adjust the weather setup to make the mine actually dark without turning off daylight in the outdoor part. It was a lot of work to put together and I'd rather not lose it all if I can help it.

I haven't Oblivion actually installed at the moment, so I'm not sure what you've done with the mine but have you tried using a dark light for inside the mines?

 Yeah, that sentence sounded fine in my head but looking at it now, I can see where you'd be relieved. Eek. Above and Beyond. What a train wreck.

I ended up searching every corner of the village just to see if there were more references. :lmao: That was a brilliant little touch.

I did try that actually. The effect of it is rather terrible looking when it's daylight outside. The "dark" light doesn't actually turn everything dark. It's more of a mottled alternating pattern of lit and unlit pixels. That's why the worldspace version of the mine is not connected. But it is there to go look at for the curious. It should be obvious what I was trying to achieve.

Aha! Nice. That wasn't the intent but I'm still glad to hear it caused you to explore the place. :)

I finally got to go back to the mine after installing the upgrade, and cleared it all out. The spiders are MUCH better now - tough, but killable, and no as numerous.

I ran into one minor bug, though;
Spoiler
when you find the scholars at the end, the guy (I forget his name) says that he doesn't know who Bites Her Tail is, even though she's standing right next to him! He even mentions her by name in another dialogue option. :P

Good to know on the spiders. That means they're just about right now then. I didn't do anything to alter their numbers though :)

I'll check into the bug as well. It's probably a script variable check that's wrong is all.

You'll want to import from both as they both alter relationships.

Version 1.0.8

* Some minor landscape tweaking.
* Corrected dialogue where the two legion soldiers would talk about hiring themselves.
* Corrected a spot on one of the farmhouse meshes that was still the old farmhouse stone.
* Removed the mine worldspace until such time as the concept can be made to work.
* Updated the pig, chicken, and ox resources with Mr. Silka's latest versions.

Wow, you are quick, Mr. Arthmoor. Now let's see, if I have some old potatoes for the pigs.
Thanks! :)

A compatibility question for Arthmoor or anyone knowledgeable in such things...

I run both Faregyl Village and New Roads and Bridges. Now that Elsweyr Anequina has added quests I want to give it a whirl. Elsweyr mentions needing a compatibility patch for Faregyl Village. A link to Faregyl Elsweyr Road Patch is provided. I downloaded it. Here's where confusion sets in. The patch readme reads, in part, as follows:

Requirements------------* Faregyl Village* Elswyr Faregyl RoadLoad Order----------ElsweyrFaregylRoad.espFaregyl.espFaregyl-FGRoad-Patch.esp

So far as I can ascertain ElsweyrFaregylRoad.esp is not included with Faregyl Village. Neither could I find it associated with NRB or Elsweyr. Assuming I typed it in correctly, a TES Nexus search turned up no separate ElsweyrFaregylRoad downloadable mod. Where do I find it? Is it really needed with the combo of FV, NRB and Elsweyr? If not, is the patch still needed, and if so what is its correct load order in relation to, again, FV, NRB & Elsweyr?

Thanks in advance!

The contents of ElsweyrFaregylRoad.esp were absorbed into ElsweyrAnequina.esp when Iliana released the mod. The readme in the patch obviously needs to be updated, but you can still just stick it below Faregyl.esp and it will work properly.

Version 1.0.9

* The Rusty Nail now has a sign hanging from the roof.
* Alix Lencolia has been removed from the villagers faction as he is seen as more of a long time visitor to the inn.
* Texture changes on the architecture. The holes in the Ayleid metal always looked weird.

This is going to be the last update on this for awhile. I am deep into revamping the quest into something more interesting and expanding on it with additional chapters. I have no idea how long the revamp is going to take but it'll be worth it. I'll tease slightly by saying that what I've got planned involves consequences for your decisions as you progress.

I always thought the village could use more quests, etc. to make it more interesting.

Well it never started off with that plan but the creative urge struck and I couldn't ignore it. :)

If you find that Faregyl Village isn't enough to satisfy those creative urges, looks like Feudal Empire 300 could use some help.

I think I already have enough on my plate without taking on another project. Especially one that's already as far along and presumably well done as FE 300.

Hey Arthmoor, this looks great. I think I might have to squeeze this into my load order ;)

Yet, there is one thing that bothers me, and it's purely a visual thing. The screens on Nexus show the crops in the fields lined up perfectly straight, they don't even seem to be rotated on the z axis at all either. I know this is mostly nit-picking, but the little things in life are the most important. ;) It just doesn't seem life like, ya know. Anyway, I was wondering if since you're still in there reworking a few things, if you wouldn't mind adding a more natural touch to the harvest? I know you're busy and all.

/Cheers
