Fat people.

I was thinking, with the now added "weight" slider I assume Skyrim has better (although maybe not perfect) support for different body meshes, correct?
If so, would it finally be possible to have fat/chubby bodies? This is not a req thread, just a thought I had that I hadn't seen mentioned before.
More diversety between body types could really help with the feeling of a "real" world, and help further build upon NPCs personalities.

Like a chubby little Breton running an inn or a fat Imperial crime lord sitting on his throne giving out orders. :D

Considering it's an RPG and is all about making pretend in a way that suits you, it seems like having additional options like this should be available.

I still wish RPGs would use the Sims 2 level of detail when it comes to creating new characters (only one I played so only one I can relate to, but you had a HUGE variety of options there). If an RPG came out with Sims' level of detail in character creation, I would be ecstatic. Honestly, I'm surprised that not one has adopted this yet. It seems to me the epitome of a major aspect of role-play.

I'd like to see fat people and more muscular women. Big guys turn into Hercules and women turn into...Michelle Obama? Rather silly. I'm hoping this will be possible; the possibilities are pretty exciting.

I doubt Skyrim switches between meshes for the fat slider. It probably just morphs the regular mesh.

To be fair, Oblivion utilized Facegen for character faces, so that was close to what you wanted. It seems like Skyrim is a mixture between Morrowind and Oblivion though with a combination of presets and some (limited) chargen sliders. It makes having a TRULY unique character pretty difficult this time around. I wonder if anyone can mod in a more advanced chargen though with the bigger/smaller body types and maybe a height slider as well as more face options.

I for one am hoping the EyeCandy folks will do a body mod for Skyrim, as well as a male version like Robert's for Oblivion.

I am not satisfied until they are each individually larger than the rest of the body combined. Triple Z's please.

There is an Actor value for Weight, but it is capped at 200. For females it scales mostly the briasts and a little bit on the legs and arms. It also seems to give strange results on NPC's when they aren't already set to that weight, their neck line doesn't match up when the actor is reset.

Have you played Sims 2 though? Or know somebody that has it so you can check out the character gen? It's *far* more detailed than anything we've seen in TES, or any other game for that matter. Even Mass Effect's facegen system was nowhere near as detailed. I keep hoping to see something like this introduced to RPGs. Would be a dream come true.

Amen to this. I'm not all that thrilled with my 50 year old warrior whose skin looks like stretched dried leather. Granted that's more texture than anything else, but the musculature needs a lot of work too.

Geez, sounds like you want something out of a Woody Allen movie.

I have played all the Sims games and I know what you mean. Sims 3 had even better chargen than 2 and I absolutely loved it. If Skyrim had the level of chargen that Sims 3 had we'd be in Heaven...

As for your geriatric affliction, I would hope someone could fix that for ya as I agree a 50 year old WARRIOR should still be quite well-built and have minimal body wrinkling (if any at all). His face and hands should still look a bit haggard and worn but his body should be near-pristine.

Didn't get into 3. Was too into 2 at the time and wasn't real thrilled with some of the new directions in 3. I figured I'd get it eventually once the modding community fooled with it for a while so I could get it more to my liking.

Wow... just realized how familiar that sounds. LOL!

Anyhoo.. yeah. I don't mind the sort of experienced, "rough-wilderness" look, and it doesn't have to be the "anime" extreme insult that everyone likes to throw around, but I can't get him anywhere near anything I'd really prefer to have. I was hoping for mid to late 20s, early 30s. Maybe when I'm in my 50s I'll like characters that look the way mine does.

I also wanted a lean athletic build, sort of like a swimmer/runner (like myself, and like the athletic build body for Morrowind or Oblivion, whichever that was), but nothing really looked right. Was either too muscular or just anorexic looking. That's one reason I can't tell if it's the skin or the musculature, but the middle of the road looked like an old guy with leathery skin stretched over his frame.
