Fatality free campaign?

Hi there everyone.

Recently saw the trailer for this beauty and got hell of a-excited. It looks like a combination of all the kind of things I want for in a game, however that's not what this is about.

I heard a rumour, no idea where from, that you could go through the campaign without killing anyone, and being someone who likes to cause the most controller breaking rage possible to myself, I believe this will be right up my alley.

I was just wondering if anyone knew how this would be implemented? Would it be Mirrors Edgish? Where you were quite limited to the combat you could perform in the fact that you could only hit people with manic punches and kicks, or will there be weapons tailored to this kind of endeavour? Or will the environment itself lend a hand?

Cheers in advance, you've definitely got a customer here anyway.

Ninja edit: I did a quick scan to see if this was covered already and didn't come up with anything, but if it has just link me to the thread and I'll be on my way!

It's my understanding that you'll be able to stealth your way through without even interacting with the enemies, and that assassination targets will present a non-lethal option of some kind.

I don't think it's been clarified whether or not there are also non-lethal combat options, but I'd imagine that things like time-freeze would be helpful for that.

Alright, thanks. That sounds ok.

The combat just looked pretty fun so I thought it would be cool to be able to engage in that without also killing anyone.

IIRC, the http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2011/07/07/august-cover-revealed-dishonored.aspx of the game came from a mysterious screenshot published on Game Informer's website last year along with the following quote:

Dishonored is the antithesis of a edge-of-your-seat roller-coaster ride. It's a game about assassination where you don't have to kill anyone. It's a game about infiltration where you can set up traps and slaughter the entire garrison of an aristocrat's mansion rather than sneak in. It's a game about brutal violence where you can slip in and out of a fortified barracks with nobody ever knowing you were there. It's a game about morality and player choice where the world you create is based on your actions, not navigating conversation trees.
