As with every other game I've ever played, I just don't care what a toon "looks like" - I never really see them except in the inventory screen, and other than MMORPGs where other "real people" can see your toon it's really of no importance. And even in WoW (the only MMORPG I play) I don't give a rat's patoot what other people think about what my toons wear.

*shrug* Stupid.

My female Nord wears Ancient Nord Armor/Boots/Gauntlets enchanted to my liking and a circlet. It's prolly the best looking heavy armor for female IMO

I'm wearing the Ebony armor that I received from Boethiah's quest. I love how the armor is covered in black smoke when you sneak ;) Plus I use the nightingale hood.

As for weapons, I use the Blade of Woe for sneak attacks, and the Daedric Sword for non assassination attacks :P

I roll with full forsworn (female character) or any armor set combined with the forsworn headdress. It has sort of become my characters "hairstyle" at this point, just doesn't look right without it.

I wear all Dark Brotherhood armour. My weapons are a Nightingale Bow, Mehrunes Razor and a Nordic Hero sword I custom enchanted (for some reason, its the most powerful sword I can forge myself, plus I like the way it looks).

A thread discussing armor aesthetics might be interesting; probably not very helpful, but still interesting.

A separate thread regarding the best unique armor pieces and weapons for certain non-crafting class types would be both interesting and useful!

This thread about "WUT YO FAVERIT GEER LOL"? Not helpful nor interesting.

Retextured Ebonymail + Ebonyblade(http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2544) looks so badadds. With a Texture Replacer you can have a Orcish greatsword look like the Ebonyblade, with more craftables mod you can craft the Ebonymail.

My first and most heavily used character ran with the following gear (self enchanted what could be:)

Head - Krosis
Body - Dragonscale Cuirass (Fortify Light Armor)
Hands - Dragonscale Gloves (Fortify Archery)
Feed - Dragonscale Booths (Muffle)
Necklace - Amulet of Talos
Ring - Self Enchanted Fortify One-Handed Ring

I felt really balanced. Spent a lot of time forging iron daggers and enchanting them with petty soul gems to get all the necessary perks. I hate that Dragon requires 100 smithing...

My Nord character ran around in full wolf armor with a Skyforge Steel Greatsword. Not much stood in his way, but I didn't play him very far into the game.

I never wear Deadric , Dragon or Glass , to me they look bad and/or over the top , and don't like Ebony helmet

With my warrior , i wear Steel plate armour , Wolf armour , Imperial armour , Ancient Nord armour (you have to craft at skyforge ) , sometimes Dwemer armour , at the beggining of the game i wear Iron and Steel armours . Sometimes i equip my companions with full Orcish improved gear or the Blades' armour

With my thief , i wore mainly leather , thief guild armour , DB armour , and Scaled armour sometimes Nightingales although looking like Batman bore me quick . With the mods , the Elven armour in steel/gray colour looks awesome , so i'll wear it now . I also wore the Stormcloack officer's armour for a while

What's cool in the game is that you can upgrade any armour near the armour cap with smithing/alchemy/enchant , so you are not forced to wear higher tier stuffs

Sounds like Fiery Soul trap. You can get this enchantment pretty earlier on and make one at low levels and because the soul trap is the first effect in this enchantment you can set it to 1 second and still get the stock 10 fire damage which is very powerful early on.

http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Fiery_Soul_Trap

Back on topic. I use the modded DB armor that is all black with the mask fix. Mehrunes Razor and an Ebony Dagger of Stunning, with an Ebony Bow of Stunning.

Ebony is the ugliest armor in the game. It looks like something out of an over the top anime. And someone spraypainted it black.

Ehh no wonder i stick to just steel or wolf armor. They are as useful as they look.

And finally an ES game with nice looking robes.

Ain't that the truth.

Steel plated Armor with Imperial Bracers and Nordic cuffed boots look good, I usually toss a hood on for a better look than the tin can helmets though. Pentulus Oculus (sp) armor with hood, and Imperial boots and bracers also looks good.

The modded DB armor also looks good with the wrap around cowl and the redesigned armor. Basically anything that looks like it could actually be real armor looks better than the crazy stuff.

I can't even play anymore without the highres textures to boot. I'd like more hooded cloaks that wrapped around your upper torso area like a functional cloak versus some superman type of cloak like the nightingale armor.
