Favorite gear.

I recently maxed a character with the Oghma Infinium glitch (haven't downloaded the patch yet) and put together by far one of my favorite Armor and weapons sets ever. I was a bit curious to see what other people like to wear.

I'm a warrior/Assassin by the way. And all this is smithed to beyond legendary and I have both armor types perked in order for this to work.

Here's my set:

Head- Krosis
Body- Ebony Mail
Feet- Nightingale boots
Hands- Ebony Gauntlets
Shield- Spellbreaker
Sword- Daedric Sword with Fire/Ice damage 25 points combo
Bow- Daedric bow with same enchantments.

If you though Nightingale was awesome, you should see this.
What do you guys use for your respective builds?

Well I don't wear armor, but I go:

Head- Archmagus Diadem (self-enchanted silver and diamond circlet with fortify magicka and resist magicka)
Body- Archmage Robes
Feet- Boots of the North (self-enchanted Fine Boots with Resist Frost and Resist Shock)
Hands- Gloves of Strength (self-enchanted gloves with fortify carry weight)
Weapons- Spells, or a combination of Staff of Magnus and Dawnbreaker

decked out dwarven after completing the quest which gives all the armor a 25% bonus in armor rating. Ebony looks great. As does Daedric.

I smithed up the Blades armor, the Ancient Helm of the Unburning, Ebony gauntlets, and Blades boots. Love the ancient Nord helms, the hammered look on the metal is cool

I hated almost all the swords I came across so I held on to the first Draugr greatsword I found, enchanted it, improved it, and ultimately killed Alduin with it. Then I retired it, and found a honed Ancient Nord Greatsword and was a better smith so that one's even better.

The smithing skill is so great because you don't need to settle on stuff you don't like

Various Thieves guild sets (Standard, Linwe's, Nightgale, Guildmaster) can be pretty tough when upgraded. I favor them.

For the most part, I try to keep my equipment differed from character to character. I have a maxed http://uesp.net/wiki/User:Zydrate/Characters#Matthias_Rethan. The rest wear thieves guild armor. My mages might wear heavy, depending on the concept. For them I tend to stick with Ebony.

Why are you guys using daggers but not DB gloves? Kinda pointless.

Because sometimes 75 x15 is enough for the most part.
And better replaced by other statistics, like gloves that will help me break less lockpicks. (Seriously, blowing through 30 on a Master lock is infuriating).

Some of them can just be horrible... none the less I seem to get through them with less then 5 for a good chunk of them.

Yeah I pretty much meant the people using nightingale armor+daggers. Nightingale has fort one-handed enchant that does nothing for daggers. It also has fort illusion that is in most cases useless. Andient Shrouded is far better choice if you dont mind looking like a fetish freak..

I have this pretty badass curved sword that I looted off a pirate's corpse and improved.
And I love all my Thieves' Guild armor.

Keep in mind that this character is only level 10 right now.

Whatever light armor that has a better stat than what I had on prior....

I really hate the way the dragon priest masks look. I don't care what stats they have, I'll pass thanks.

As did I, but with the right gear (aka ebony mail) they look sweet. But its your opinion.
