Favorite Older Cartoons

Post » Fri Dec 06, 2013 5:04 pm

Lately at night before I go to bed I've been watching some of the cartoons I use to watch as a kid. I've been loving it and it's almost become a weeknight ritual. They play a few on Boomerang and Nick.

My lineup usually includes:
Hey Arnold!
Dexter's Laboratory
Johnny Bravo

I forgot how funny Dexter's Lab and his voice is. These aren't my only favorites from a past generation, just the ones they've been airing recently that I've been watching. So what are your favorite cartoons that you grew up on, they canceled, don't air anymore, or just ones you like?

Here have this play list of http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDA8ED26E18EC736E&feature=mh_lolz I made. It's not complete by any means and always needs to be updated with new links, but there is tons of good stuff in there.

Recess was a great cartoon that many people unfortunately do not remember since it came from the Disney Channel, which mostly produces crap.

I am lucky enough to be a child of the 80's... so I got to see some real classics when I was young.

Sometimes I'll watch an episode while I'm modding, or cooking, or cleaning house, etc. And they are always good for a laugh. I actually remember most episodes extremely well once I start watching it. These shows really had an impact on my imagination when I was little.

The 90's had lots of great shows too, but I was getting interested in other hobbies by then.

Aeon Flux :D I was 5 years old when it first started airing and I watched the series as it came out, many many times. It had a huge influence on me. And now I can even watch them all on http://www.mtv.com/shows/aeon_flux/episodes.jhtml <3 Thanatophobia and Ether Drift Theory are probably my favrites.

Anyone remember Darkwing Duck? There was another couple of cartoons that I watched around the time of that one but I don't remember their names.
