Rap is a very unpopular style of music today. (Well to me atleast) but there are arguably a few decent ones. So whether you like it or not. Who are your favorite ones?

was never really into rap, but Coolio had a couple tunes I liked. TBH, I've been into rock and roll my whole life, with some country thrown in (mostly old style country. Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Wiilie Nelson etc)

Seriously though, I haven't explored rap enough to make a judgement that doesn't make me look like an ignorant [censored], so I'm going to go for Ghostface Killa from the Wu-Tang Clan. Entertaining live if nothing else.

EDIT: Really like Andre 3000's rap on the new Gorillaz song, just for 'you can't have a piece of my pie".

Money Store was a big disappointment..

With a gun held to my head I would probably say dalek is my all-time favorite but Kool Keith, Nas, Ice Cube and RZA(ok, more as a producer) would probably cross my mind. Most of the hip hop I listen to isn't because of the personalities of the musicians behind them though so picking a favorite rapper isn't really something I've thought over much. I've not been listening to much hip-hop other than Tyler and Odd Future recently...

Public Enemy, Wu-Tang (and especially Liquid Swords), N.W.A. and KRS One will always hold places in my heart though. As well as, from a little less conventional direction, Flobots. And one of my favourite albums is Spirit of Apollo, by N.A.S.A. I've also been meaning to listen to some more Immortal Technique at some point, 'cause I liked what I heard, but I've not got around to that yet. And BLKHRTS.

But like Hoermius, I'm a rock kiddie who hasn't had enough exposure to hip hop to really know what he's talking about or what he likes.

More hip hop than rap perse but I really like Atmosphere.

Add QN5 (Tonedeff, PackFM, etc.) and Rhymesayers (Atmosphere, Brother Ali) to that list.

Granted, that's all hip hop.
