Favourite Side quest?

Post » Thu Aug 02, 2012 6:04 pm

We all admit the general quality of quests in Skyrim where only decent, unlike amazing in Oblivion, but you have to admit Skyrim did have some EXCELLENT ones!!!
My personal favourites was "blood on the ice" and "forsworn conspiracy", mainly because they where very well written, multiple choices, long, and in blood if you made a mistake someone could die.
What's your favourite?

Blood on The Ice, for the reason's that you gave. Also "Seige on The Dragon Cult" I really like Forelhost. Well written with the notes and reasoning behind it all.

I really liked Unfathomable Depths, At first I thought it was just a generic take this over there sort of quest. But once I got inside the ruin and you saw the visions of her group as they progressed it added a lot more, Watches-The-Roots seemed to have an ulterior motive that added to the mystery. I also liked how you found out all their fates.

You know, I did Forelhost just the other day, and I felt like I must have missed something. I found the journal you're directed to, of course, and then a note named "Reply from Rahgot" - but what was he replying to? I felt like there should be more notes, and I think I was in every room in the dungeon... Must have missed a room somewhere.

I liked it, though, it's always nice when dungeons are more than just dungeons.

I recently did Waking Nightmare for the first time - well-written, a little different, and I just adore Erandur! Characters with a good backstory and some inner struggle can't be wrong.

Dammit! I thought I was so careful, checking everything since I know how easily you can miss room in especially the larger dungeons.

Ah, well, there will be more characters, and I will do it again.

Hard to pick one. Siege of the Dragoncult, The Forsworn Conspiracy, Blood on the Ice, Forbidden Legend, Nature's Blessing, The Man Who Cried Wolf/The Wolf Queen Awaken duo, Waking Nightmare and Rise in the East are all quests I really enjoyed. There are more I think was very enjoyable, but I can't remember them at the moment.

yes.

You didn't miss the room but the note he is replying to very very easy to miss. I would have missed it the 1st time, but I kept looking for it, til I found it.

Here is were it is. IF you want to find it youself don't look!!!!
Spoiler
In the same room, under the Skeletons right hand , sitting on the "throne" chair.

Ah, yeah, that seems pretty easy to miss. Still never saw any small bodies, only grown-up sized.

I think I have to load a save from after the dungeon was cleared and just walk around for a bit :P

A lot of the side quest aren't that memorable in Skyrim, sadly. I guess the Forsworn Conspiracy was pretty cool.

Well I guess that's all in the way you look at it. I would rather have a couple more quest's Like those mentioned above than the very lack luster Bards questline. ( of course the Bards could have been better to)

Oh yes , there are alot of really good side quest's. It's one of the reason's I love to RP character's that don't do any questlines. They don't have to worry about "breaking" a quest in a questline.

Blood on the Ice, Lights Out!, Lost to the Ages, Rise in the East, Laid to Rest, Discerning the Transmundane, The Whispering Door, No One Escapes Cidhna Mine.

I much prefer Skyrim's side-quests to Oblivion's.
