Feature Transfer Error? : IV

Hey everyone,

So I am trying to install Oblivion and I have done so a few times now. Each and every time it stops at a specific point and tells me

Feature transfer error
feature: Oblivion
component: Oblivion
File: F:/data2.cab
Error: Data error(Cyclic redundancy check)

Whats going on and how do I fix this?

CRC is an error when it cannot read the data on the disk. Is the disk damaged or dirty? Are you able to install on another PC?

The disk is fairly old, I bought it about four years ago so there is no doubt damage on it. But I did clean it before. I'll try to install it on another PC but I really can only play it on this one.

Yeah you dont need to play it on the other PC, you just need to see if it actually installs. That way you can see if its the disk itself or a problem with your DVD drive.
