Female the best pick for Skyrim now?

Post » Mon Feb 04, 2013 2:20 am

Here's my argument: If you choose female and complete the certain quest for the active effects you pick up, Agent of Dibella, and now through the Black Book The Winds of Change Lover's Insight, you get an additional 20% increase in damage to the opposite six. Whereas if you were male you could pick the get the same perks but.. how often is it do you fight the occasional female bandit anyway?
Pretty glad I chose my first female play through this time around.

Most of my characters have been female. Not necessarily for perks but you are right that since most enemies will be male it makes more sense to go for a woman. Except that's the last kind of thing a person should be thinking of when making up a new character. I will say though that male characters in elven or glass (light stahlrim? )would look a little... camp

I think now I just create characters in mind that will have the most benefits. But that's just me.
And yeah, I didn't like any of the Stahlrim pieces whatsoever. Aside from their weapons.. the +frost damage you can put on those finally replaced old Chillrend.

I mostly play females. I have one male due to the character concept (He became an Immortal in Morrowind so I just keep playing him on every TES game).

Aesthetics mostly, I don't care for min-maxing perks. And they're all gay, so I wish there were perksets for the same gender, like they did in New Vegas.

the best choice is whatever race and six you want to be...
skyrim is easy enough without the opposite six damage boosts, so the choice to be male isnt gonna completely destroy you or anything

This. Your gender is supposed to be a rp choice, not a damage buff choice. And besides that, there's plenty of men and women enemies for this to be equally useful.

Choosing whatever gender you want really doesn't matter to me. Play how you want to is how I feel. I'm just saying, the females will get a better advantage now with these new traits. Maybe it could be changed for both male and female somehow.
I do agree that Skyrim is easy enough without the boots though.

I have played female characters since launch and I honestly didn't even know about the Agent of Dibella until about a month ago. With the one character that has it, I don't notice much of a difference.

Perhaps there should be perks that affects the same gender of your character, like in New Vegas :0

That's what I said. A very unique and socially inclusive feature. Definitely added some flavor in a few dialog options.

really they were male?? Poor guys what a lonely place for them, I think they need to make female dragons too, how cool would it be to find a dragon egg and raise the baby dragon??

I felt like lover's insight was one of the less interesting choices anyway. There are more than enough ways to boost damage output to ridiculous amounts already.

Choosing to play a female for that perk alone is just plain silly. Male characters can be onscenely over-powered even without smithing/enchanting your own items, and that is before you factor in exploiting those systems to create daggers that even Superman could shave his beard with.
