So, being the curious person that I am.. I decided to jump into the Magma Pit behind the forge after saving. It had the effect I was expecting, but I noticed a small ledge behind a rock... Needless to say, I had to find out IF something was back there.. I was really hoping to find more Aetherium, which I didn't, but I did find a few chests. Got some pictures here to show how to get there and where it is and stuff.

My guess is its impossible to do unless you can make yourself invulnerable (I haven't tried overdosing on Fire Resist potions and armor), which only Vampire Lords can do with the Mist Perk. Note that even while invulnerable the Magma still causes fire to appear around your screen and really clouds your vision. Jumping while flying across will alleviate this and allow you to get your bearings. Also note that as a normal Vyre the heat from floating over the magma will kill you in seconds. *EDIT* You can also use the Become Ethereal Shout to cross the Magma safely as well. This is much more difficult as you cannot jump high enough to end the obscuring fire effect.

Although it is difficult to see; This gate opens into a hidden passage that ends with you exiting through the gate in picture 1.

The gate seen while standing on a small rock that can be seen from standing to the right of the Forge. All the rocks can be stood on safely, but they're very small. You can also see one of the downward inclines into the Magma here that are on both sides of the Forge.

Nope. I dont think so atleast. So you win on that part. I was just saying. You actually have more information actually. They only found the chests from the gates on the side.

For me the 2 chests on the side of the lava. HAD GET READY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got alot better then that, but its just as random as most chests. More or less its just an interesting thing to find, not necessarily worth it.

Problem is, while swimming, the fire damage effect would obscure your vision to the point where you probably wouldn't be able to navigate very well. Vampire Lords can float over the liquids, so thats a huge advantage.

There seems to be a bug where the effect becomes permanent. Something to do with absorb spells, I believe. To fix it, take another dip in the molten hot lava!

I'm not saying its permanent; Just that as long as you're getting burned the effect continues and takes a second or two to wear off.

I know. That's what I'm saying. Actually, I think it may have to do with transforming while it's active. Just figured I'd give people a heads up on that glitch so they can fix it.

It worked fine for me, i say where I wanted to go and just swam until I got there.
