After the recent steam update I verified the integrity of my game cache.
It tells me that one file failed to validate and will be reacquired - all normal so far - except it dosen't download anything and the problem is still there.
I play with Dawnguard and Hearthfire and loads of mods.
However a friend who pays with Hearthfire only and practically no mods at all checked and gets the same issue after this latest steam update.

Anyone else having the same issue? It doesn't seem to make any difference in game at all, so I'm wondering if its just an error on steam/bethesda's part rather than anything actually missing.

If you look over the forums, there's a number of topics on this. It's most likely something on Valve's end and is nothing to be concerned about.
