This is just an update to my own situation..

I know many are still having problems, but
I just wanted to bring a bit of good news for
one user... The game is finally working
quite nicely now after much tweaking...

a little bit of minor stutter here and there,
but other than that running just fine and
really enjoying it... planning to mod this
game in the months to come...
