Amazon have authorised refunds for Skyrim after I notified them of the defective PS3 copies even when patched.
I'm sending mine back today and getting my money refunded.
This is an exception of the normal rules of if you open software you can not get a refund.
So there is some good news for purchasers. Not for gamesas though.
