its not like the game forces you to complete the DLC, just like vanilla, you pick and choose your path based on how you see your characters story evolving. I would like to know how it ruined it for you :blush:

Yeah, mine too. I already had an established story.

My characters, being original pureblooded Cyrodiilic vampires from the Order clan in Cyrodiil(I used the pureblood concept ever since Oblivion came out in 2006. So I did not copy Bethesda's pureblood thing.) ventured to Skyrim after four centuries of living in Cyrodiil in riches, splendor and influence. One of those four centuries they retreated underground to go into a deep lumber after the Dark Brotherhood began their hunt for the Crimson Scars. Decades the Brotherhood was destroyed by Mathiew, they somehow were awakened and thrown back into the world only to discover the Thalmor had been in place and the events before the Great War happened. Instead of returning to politics, they went to Skyrim to reevaluate their tactics and their adaption to the new world.

Then Harkon's ass and the Volkihar come out of nowhere....I guess my vampire characters are now icy freaks -_-

Its fine for me. Dovahkiin is now Dovahkiin Vampire Slayer.
But I do see how it might ruin some RPs.

lore wise Volkihar has always been the primary clan of skyrim i dont see how this affects your rp at all

I don't pretend I'm anything besides the Legendary dragonborn because it's thrown in my face the whole time. I can wait for Fo4 though.
