hi i have just started the College of Winterhold Side Quest Find the Copy of Fragment: On Artaeum witch i have already found the book for at a earlier time but it has not registered on the game, i cant drop the book because it is a quest item and i cant carry on withe the quest because it hasent registered that i already have the book. there is many of people with the same problem but i cant find any fix for this, well not for xbox anyways, any help would be great. thanks

Having the same issue myself. Have been asked to find the book on White and Black Souls, which I already looted from its chest. Now the quest keeps pointing me to the empty chest. Typically this would have to be the first book I've been asked to find.

I can only hope this sort of problem will be sorted in a future update.

This is a known issue with the game populating chests with quest items and then not registering the required item for its quest. At this time there is no workaround or solution I know once this occurs. The only way is to have the quest active prior to collection the books.

This should be simple to fix in a patch, with a script detecting quest items in your inventory and setting its quest to the correct stage. However we dont know when or even if this issue will be resolved in the forthcoming patch.

I've been carrying that book since the day of release; just joined the college of winterhold today, and found out what quest it was for. WOW, am I glad to hear that Im not the only one...
