Firefox Copyright Infringement?

as others have mentioned, you can't copyright a name to my knowledge, only trademark it.

The word "firefox" has existed in the since at least the 1840s.



And of course Google is going to try giving you the most relevant answer and because the browser is mentioned roughly 10x as often nowadays as the book or movie were at their peak relevancy there might be just *a little* bias towards it.

Excellent and very relevant point. I'd add that foxes can sometimes be jerks, but frogs are always cool. That's just science.
