Awesome, looks really great. Really liking the art style. I'm sure the Bioshock comparisons will abound in the press, but this looks waaaaay better to me.

Amen to that, Denton. It looks like Arkane has really stepped it up for this one. Even the reaction from the Gamespot crowd looks really positive, which is a good sign. We need this to sell well so we get more games like this.

Looks pretty awesome so far! Unusual character design, but that's just my opinion. Most likely has to do with the whole abstract theme.

Exciting for two reasons. First it gives us a look into Dishonored which is always a plus and second the less obvious is that Bethesda is starting to release information about its games for the year. Meaning we will hear about Rage and Skyrim DLC soon maybe.

On topic: Pretty slick. Not much new but cool to hear about the game.

I think Bethesda's marketing is clever enough to know not to overhype a game. Seeing as they expect to put it out some time this year, they should have started on finalising graphics at this point. So, hopefully a trailer or gameplay footage is not too far away, now... :sadvaultboy:

I've made screenshots already. I have work to do now, but expect new screenshots (and a few updates and new pages, now that I have proof of some things... ) up in the wiki a few hours from now! Hopefully the gf will do me the favour of sorting through the 1000 or so freeze frames I captured. :angel:

A small concern: I hope the character models (faces, clothes, bodies) are just a bit more diverse.

Other than that, the rest makes me all kinds of :woot:

Yay, video! I've noticed this from the beginning, but it's just starting to hit me now: the graphics look kind of cartoony. Mixed emotions about the video, but I still think that the game will be good.

Who cares about the graphics (although it looks great) as long as everything else is awesome then it will be GOTY.

It looks like they're starting the marketing up right now, after 6 months of silence since the original announcement. I expect we'll be hearing a lot more over the next months.

What is going on with the gamespot video? It is really kicking off judging by the comments and likes but for me it is stuck on 309 views?

Youtube occaisonally takes a long time to update their view numbers. I remember a while back, there were a bunch of Ron Paul conspiracy theorists who thought Youtube was removing their views in order to silence them or whatever. Nope, it's just how the system works (sometimes).

OT: I'd really like to see some more gameplay. I know there's some on the way soon, but it did strike me as a little odd that they didn't show ANY footage of the game actually being played.

Agreed. That all looked like scripted events. No fighting, no stealth, no climbing, no powers, nothing but scripted events. I'm a bit disappointed :down:

I think they're probably polishing what they do want to show a bit more before they show it. That or marketing people are figuring out how exactly to present the stuff.

:shrug:

I can wait. I just wanted something new.
