Hey guys. Ive just killed my first dragon. People around me ask that I shout if Im really Dragonborn however I did not get any souls. I tried training the Shout but it says I have zero dragon souls... I remember seeing the flames surrounding me after killing the beast but I just cant seem to use the shout. I can select it but I can't seem to equip it and use it. I have read everything and tried everything to end up thinking I simply did not get the soul.. If I kill another Dragon later will I be able to train this shout?

PS: Im on PC using a 360 controller.

In the Shouts menu, select the shout you want to charge with the soul and hit the button to charge it. I was doing the same thing that it sounds like you are doing. I thought I could just select the shout and it would charge it with the soul I had. You have to highlight the shout first, then hit the "Charge Shout" (or whatever it's called) button to charge the shout. I think it might be 'T' on the PC.

Default button on PC is R, I have no idea how it works with a X-box controller though.

it automatically spends the soul on your Unrelenting Force

Just go to your spell book and press Equip, remember it has a different bind than your Main hand or Off hand weapon/spell.

Also for whatever reason, you can use your shout before and after the guard is talking about it but not during (at least I couldn't)
