First house or are you moving?

Post » Thu Nov 15, 2012 2:57 pm

Just wondering, which of you guys are moving from an old house to the Hearthfire one, who has been waiting for this type of DLC to be released and so has not owned a house yet... Will you guys have all your crap in one house or do you alternate between them?

Just some random debate whilst waiting for Hearthfire :3

Personally, i own every house that can be owned, but i don't actually use them... I bought them and furnished them for my Housecarls who now live in the houses....

So the Hearthfire house will be my actually home now... and im looking forward to see what i can do with it :D

My first character had all the houses, but his save file went corrupt. RIP
My current character doesn't have a house. I was about to buy one but I found out this DLC was coming out
My roleplay character will probably build his own simple home.

My Dunmer - Hopes to be able to adopt without building, since she has Proudspire Manor. The perfect place to mingle with the other Thanes of Solitude, meddle in Skyrim and Imperial politics, and take music lessons at the Bard's college.

My Imperial - Much as he likes Honeyside, the opportunity to build his own pad is too good to be true. So he will be moving. Falkreath sounds about his speed, since he likes warmer climes.

My Khajiit - Currently lives in the Archmage's Quarters in Winterhold. If he builds a house, it'll probably be the Pale, so he's not too far from the college (can't let those obstreperous mages get too far out of line).

I think that one of my characters (Eilonwy) would really like the idea of building herself a house, a bit bigger and more isolated than the one she already has (Honeyside).
She could use her first house as a little apartment-in-town, or just give it to Iona.
As for my other characters, none of them have actual houses.

I've been meaning to start a new character, and Hearthfire's will probably be the first, and possibly only house I own in that file.

My character doesn't really have a permanent home. He has multiple houses throughout Skyrim and uses them all at some point, although, he spends most of his time in Honeyside compared to other homes. He will not be moving, simply building his own house however he wants in the Pale. He lacks a shelter to stay at in the northern parts of Skyrim so the Pale is the perfect spot. Might just make it his permanent home.

I like most of you own multiple houses, although markarth is really my home seeing as my wife lives there. I would move her and probably make Argis my steward if that was the ony way to move him aswell. They are basically my family

I wish my Hearthfire homes could be my vacation homes, but alas, because the f'ng Breezehome Alchemy Lab is broken and I don't think I should have to uninstall Dawnguard just to fix the lab, I will be permanently moving in to my Hearthfire home. Where, hopefully, the alchemy lab actually shows up when I buy/build it in.

Yeah I'm going to move from Proudspire Manor to my Hearthfire House and move my stuff there. Its going to take a looong time though for me to move all of my stuff from Proudspire Manor, Vlindrel Hall, and Honeyside to my Heathfire House.
