Fist of the Elements build

Sooooo I've been playing around with this idea for a character in my head. We all know that unarmed and unarmored got the shaft in Skyrim but that doesn't keep it from being one of my favorite play styles in TES. So since the November of last year I've been wanting to make a really good and fun unarmed playthrough, and since im on 360, mods have been out of my reach. Last night an idea finally hit me while watching Avatar TLOK with my nephew. Make an elemental pugilist. The whole Idea of this build is to create a character who's whole life has been devoted to martial arts. Through the mastery of body and mind he has unlocked the true potential of a disciplined body and mind. Now. Your going to need some creativity here so bare with me abit.( This shouldnt be to hard for role-players out there.) He or she can send whatever element they have practice in toward their enemies at a distance to either distract of weaked the enemy, while closing in for the kill with the iron tools of destruction that is their fist >=-).

This characters whole shtick is close quarters combat so that is his main way of dealing damage. In order to do this his unarmed damage has to be up there to be effective. Im going with a khajiit for the unarmed bonus. Youll also have to head to Riften and get the Gloves of the Pugilist right off the bat as well, for its plus 10 enchantment. I almost imediatly scrap it for just the enchantment. Now, for centuries people have been strapping things to their fists to increase the damage from a punch.(metal, spikes, blades, ect.)So its not a stretch to think that an unarmed fighter would need alil help to take down the big bad Nord with a big axe by using gauntlets. So I invested in the Fists of Steel perk. For my character for RP purposes, he is running unarmored minus the gloves. He is fast and nimble. But he didnt start that way and needed a little extra protection at first while he was mastering his art.( atleast that how i justify getting heavy armor up to 30 for the perk.)

Now this is where the stretch comes in. While training in unarmed the character discovers that they can send out an element through their fighting style by using their inner chi(Magicka). My characters element is fire, very similar to a fire bender of the show. So he uses fire spells to add on to his fighting abilities. Before i fight anything I buff myself with flame cloak. Then, if the enemy is far away I use Fireball or Incinerate while heading towards them. Try to imagine them sending the fire out through their fists as the go through their martial arts moves.Heres the thing. This isnt a mage build, however the character needs to invest in destruction a bit to be truely effective. So i pick the perks of my element. I try not to invest in magicka to much because thats not what he's about. Instead dip into stamina and health. I intentionally keep magicka low so that i cant cast over and over and force myself to close in for the kill. If you do however choice to invest more in magicka then think of it as chi. As your charcter gains strength their chi grows allowing for more elemental attacks to be unleashed. =-)

The whole point of this is to be a fun challenging build. so enjoy it and make it your own. Ice and lightning are also very good possible elements to use for your martial artist. I really want CONSTRUCTIVE feed back on this. Tell me what you think and how I can improve it. Thanks for you time!

Considering my eyes started hurting around the part you spoke of playing a Khajit, I'll assume you're looking for "Cool build, bro"?

Yeah I'm not reading all that. There's a reason books are broken up into chapters, and then even further into paragraphs, then just a giant block of words.

Ah-Ha! Now I know why no matter how good the grammar, something always just doesn't quite look right in my long posts.

I'm guessing "the show" is refering to Avatar The Last Airbender?

Anyways, this does soud like a lot of fun if I were bored. I'll have to give it a go sometime.

Yea! Avatar: The Legend of Korra specifically because there is like this boxing fire bending style that a character uses so thats what i went off of.

Like, 1000 times better. I think its an interesting idea, but sadly, unarmed characters got no love really in skyrim. Flame Cloak is a very underutilized spell I think, its really good if you're playing an up close character. For RP purposes I'd get the fire enchanter perk and stack up a lot of resist fire gear.

Fire resist for RP purposes. If you're a fire master, you should be resistant to fire, no?

I like that idea, a guy i watch on youtube called robbaz always fights unarmed, he just uses heavy armour fitsts of steel etc the whole "viking" thing. But this i like, get some dragonplate guanlets, use the pugalists enchantment so working on smithing and enchanting is a must to have very powerful fists! i think if i try it i will go with frost to slow my enemies...

Good idea i like it, may even try it soon.

Thank you! And your right i guess i should have put more of a emphasis on enchanting and smithing. Frost will definately be good for a playthrough. Enjoy!
