Ahoy there my fellow epic pc gamers,

So after tweaking with the control pannel setting a little bit I have gotten rid of my lagg gotten rid of my block textures and the game runs smooth.
But wait ! I still have a issue. I could explain it here but i made a screen to let you show my issue.

Its when i look left and quickly look right i get these textures '' loading '' like its very slow or doesnt recognize those graphics when im not looking.
Anyways heres my screenshot I made.

As you can see the road block things are still loading aswell as the ground under my mouse aim fire aswell as the rocks and the uhm well everything.
I have this everytime i move into a room or look a other way or turn arround etc the graphics will load in a 15 second window when im looking at it. ( quite annoying I must say )

My computer is:

How funny , I managed to fix the issue you have but could not fix the block textures issue that you fixed.
So lets trade fixes mate :D

For me what fixed the texture loading was adding "+vt_pageImageSizeUnique 8192 +vt_pageImageSizeUniqueDiffuseOnly 8192 +vt_pageImageSizeUniqueDiffuseOnly2 8192" IN STEAM LAUNCH OPTIONS , NOT in a config file . I tried alot of these config files with these settings and they never did anything , But as soon as i added this to steam launch options it was fine. Also if you dont have the steam version , then just make a shortcut of rage.exe right click it and choose properties then just paste the same things at "Target" , just remember to leave 1 spacebar between rage and the line so it should look like this :
E:\Rage\Rage.exe +vt_pageImageSizeUnique 8192 +vt_pageImageSizeUniqueDiffuseOnly 8192 +vt_pageImageSizeUniqueDiffuseOnly2 8192

Hope this helped you , Looking forward to hear your fix :D

Hey there mate

thanks for your reply :D i will give it a shot.

bassicly i believe the block textures are related to anti alliasing. like I said i have mine on 2x on Box in the engine control panol from the new amd/ati driver and i have none anti alliasing in the game.

If this doesnt work for you computer i would suggest screwing arround with the anti alliasing in the engine control panol and start up the game look if it works if not higher it by 2x and launch game again and just repeat this untill its fixed this worked for me I hope it does for you aswell. <3

hello again,

I tried to do what you say but it didnt resolve anything instead i got the blocks back.
So if you have issue's with having blocks try to remove that aswell if anti alliasing isnt working.

Sorry that it did not work for you , Actually i have blocks either i add this line or not , only difference is that it removes textures loading slowly , Well i also tried what you suggested and it did not fix it that much , Seriously though , the current state of the game is a big cluster[censored] , fixes work on some comps and on others not , But let me ask you this , Do you happen to have AI on or off? (its not actually going to help you at all but i just wanna know since my game freezes as hell when AI is on , and the block textures i am having a mod told me that turning off AI is the problem so technically i choose between 30 sec freeze or epic block textures.. so i choose wait for a patch lol)
