Has anyone created a mod adding throwable flares back into the game?

I haven't seen one, but would certainly be glad to have such a thing...

...even if it were just a custom dynamite that was a light source for a while instead of an explosive...

I really hope someone does this, flares and a flaregun (id be okay with just flares though lol) would make playing at night so much more enjoyable

Think how awesome it would be to toss it toward some radar blip on a dark night and have it bounce off a charging deathclaw 10ft away.

I'd settle for a glowstick mod...

One of the big annoyances with the glowstick mods in FO3, there really wasn't any throwable item other then grenades - and NPCs would react as if you had tossed a grenade when you tossed a glowstick. In New Vegas, we have a lot more throwables that aren't grenades, so it should be possible to hook onto one of those and keep the NPCs from yelling "Grenade!".

They don't need to be that bright either, only lighting up a small patch (a meter across would be fine). There are other ways to get lights, I just want something I can use to mark doorways and corridors. Something available in at least half a dozen colors that only weighs about 0.2 per item (maybe even 0.1). As long as I can see them down a long corridor, that's plenty bright.

Nor do they need to be super-sized where they stick out of the player's hand. I'm not interested in a light source, I want markers. :D

The collision mesh would hopefully be larger then the actual item to keep it from sinking into the ground.

Here's what the glow sticks mod looked like in-game in Fallout 3:

As you can see, the model is on the large side, as is the size of the light pool. Too large and it bleeds through walls, too small and it's not visible. I used it in Georgetown Police HQ to mark my escape route back to the rear door and to keep track of what areas I had covered.

I'll make a quick search... Nope :(
I strongly second this request, makes the game so much more enjoyable, especially with darker nights.

Pelinor had a flare gun mod in Fallout 3... it shot a flare up in the sky and lit up the area. He pulled it, I think it had performance issues maybe. Too bad :\
