Floating block of water in Whiterun

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 2:27 pm

So went to whiterun just now, and found some npc's swimming in the sky. There's a big chunk of water just floating there in whiterun. Npc's swim into the air and it's extremely irritating.

I searched all over google for others with this issue. I found two threads one had a reply and it didn't help. Also I tried turning each mod off individually but that didn't help either.

Does anyone know how to possibly fix this? I'd copy my load order but both data files and the nexus manager don't seem to have that capability.

Here's a pic:

Hmmmm.... that's a glitch! heheh...
Right away, shut down game, reboot PC.
Try again from prior savegame.
Does this not correct the issue?

I'll try right away.

EDIT:

I rebooted my laptop, and it was still there. Loaded the previous save, still there. Then I loaded my fifth save and it was still there.
All I did before I got this was install a mod, and then use BOSS to sort my load order because the author of the mod recommended it.

WAIT. It IS a mod. I disabled all mods and the water was gone. I guess I don't need any more help. I'll try to pinpoint the perpetrator now.

It was Skyrim NPC immersion mod, and the author already uploaded a fix. So that's that.

Caused by the latest version of the realistic water mod. Will be fixed in the next release.

I don't know if there's a bug in realistic water, but for me it was definitely SIM - SKyrim npc Immersion. The author uploaded a water fix.esp and I didn't have to change my load order or anything, that one esp fixed it.

EDIT: You can't change the load order in the data menu, can you?

Well, at least it lived up to it's name. Those NPCs were immersed after all.

You can now, they added it in with the last patch- and screwed up BOSS, BASH, NMM and every other mod manager in the process.
