ok so its been established that followers can equip items u give them. i read in the strategy guide that lydia likes heavy armor, one handed, archery block. so i gave her the following items:

steel armor
steel horned helmet
steel shield
steel cuffed bracers
steel cuffed boots
steel war axe

(names might be slightly off, but u get what i mean)

however, she only equipped the axe, the helm and the armor. she never equips any bracer/boots/shield i give her. (again i might have got 1 detail wrong here, the point is she doesnt equip everything even though it seems like she should).

i couldnt find any info in the strategy guide or on the net about this, so whats the deal? do companions only equip certain slots or what?

Lydia only equips those pieces. Exact same stuff she's using in my game.

Which is good. More vendor trash to dump on her

uh so...how can i know what slots each follower will equip? so i dont go and craft or buy something for them and then find out it was a waste?
