font size too small

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 1:41 pm

Hey guys,

The font in skyrim is very hard to read for me, every time i start up a conversation i need to get closer to be able to read the text.

To me it looks like the font is about halve the size of what it was in oblivion.

Anybody else having difficulty's reading the text in skyrim then please respond so that bethesda knows it has to provide a font size option.

Btw, i have a 32 inch lcd

i also posted this the general section before this section was active and decided to repost sorry if this is not allowed

yeah, i think my settings are fine

for many people the size will be just fine, but for me and i assume a reasonable amount of other people it would be nice to have the option for a bigger font

Hdmi is fine, everything is fine, its just that i think that bethesda could take into consideration that we gamers dont all have perfect vision.

Arend your in a minority my friend, way more people wanted the text smaller cause it was too big for them in Oblivion, your going to have to adapt. But if you really have the 32" LCD like you said it should be fine to you, are you sure its running in HD? Or is your tv like 10 feet away or something, it should be closer.

That would svck if you can't properly read it. For me it's fine, and i'm using a 50 inch plasma. I remember Risen on Xbox 360, without any patch at that moment, it was horrible. Such ridiculously small font, it took awhile for the patch to release but even then it wasn't incredibly good.

Yeah I just got the game and can't read anything.

Have to get 2 inches away from my TV to read the text. I'm playing on a 32" older style TV. The big box type. It's not a bad TV either... but this is just ridiculous. Can't read anything at all. :(

Have to agree, the font is a little too small.

I am playing on a 32" screen right now and THE FONT IS WAY TO SMALL!!! In a few days I will hook my xbox to a projector and I hope that makes a difference. There needs to be a way to adjust the font, why was this simple option left off the game?

I have to agree, the font size is way too small. Although I am playing on a 20 inch SDTV where the edges of the screen are cut off, so that makes it worse. But I've been playing on my friend's huge HDTV for the last couple hours and the text is still too small. All the HD settings are set up correctly, too.
Please fix this, Bethesda, as well as the lack of a screen ratio adjustment.
