For all mages, warriors and archers.....

Post » Tue Sep 25, 2012 6:19 am

Hi there, i'm new here and i know that theres a million topics like this one, but i can't decide how to make my Dovahkiin......Should i go with a mage, warrior or archer???????

For all archers out there, should i use a bow or a crossbow????? If a bow, should i use a dragonbone bow, or maybe a daedric/nightingale bow or auriels bow?????

I'll play on master level for the first time ( i've finished the game as an assassin with daggers on normal )

Thanks.......

There is no wrong way to play the game; try everything. Some people play multiple characters at once, cycling amonst them.

If you were an assassin before, perhaps change things up and be a mage or a melee fighting tank?

If its your first character ever in Skyrim, a good ol' warrior is a great way to start. Just pick up the best sword and shield you can find and have at it. Basically though, you can do no wrong by making several characters and choosing a combination of skills and archetypes. Experiment!

I would try to play a sword-shield warrior with archery and restoration on master first so you would get the feel of the game. This way, you would also be baptised by fire so you won't be shy away from master in your next characters.

First off, Welcome! have a http://www.imperial-library.info/sites/default/files/dogate_til_fishystick.jpg

You can honestly just choose whatever appeals to you most at the moment, but it doesn't have to be purely one playing type, this isn't an MMORPG where your forced to use what you chose as a designated class. My main character is a Khajiit that is Unarmored and uses Two-handed Swords and Frost destruction, I have no clue what you'd even call that but it's fun :)

If you want to purely focus on one fighting style, go for it, or you can mix it up into something like a Arcane Marksman who uses Crossbows and Illusion + Alteration.

The Dawnguard DLC gives you crossbows, the vanilla version doesn't have them. All bows have the same range.
