?hm.. i played the Mp version on gamescom this year.

All i can say about the Mp is that there are some destructable elements in the game (MP) but its no Batllefield BC2.
The differences to Crysis1:
The indoor levels improved in comparison to C1.. but thats not a really a suprise: Crysis 1 was mostly outdoor and had only some caves and little houses as indoor areas.
The movement improved, you can now climb up walls etc..
The nansuit has been cut down to 2 modes ( i dont count that as a improvement)
The grfx are pretty much the same as Crysis 1 ( only the pc version of course) maybe a few textures are more detailed than in C1.. but thats speculation. The xbox version looked less detailed and way more blurred and had almost no sharp edges. ( missing AA and low res.)
The controls for the Pc are okay ( as always for shooters)... for xbox awful ( but i must say i just cant play shooters on a controller)

Anything else?

understandable considering this is still pre-beta stuff. were the weapons balanced and the killstreaks workable and the gameplay fast-pased?

Thanks for the insight bigboulder :) Does that nano suit work well gameplay wise... I mean I loved having Stealth, Speed, Strength and Armour to choose from... it well, gave me a choice on how to play.

Anouther thing... I haven't seen or heard anything yet about crysis 2 actully having weapon customization... well do you know?

Thanks

There is only Armor and Stealth modes, even in singleplayer.

On PC, Q was for armor, and E was for Stealth, Melee was the middle mouse button.

Yes it did... bit i still prefer the one from Crysis 1 .

It felt like it could be somehow connected to Crysis ( just a feeling)... but more as a sequel and not as a successor.

Like a Warhead 2 ;-) but not like a Crysis 2.. because its just too different i n so many ways than the original.

so about the gameplay...

Did you like the class system?

Was it like spray and pray and whoever fires first wins or something else?

I'd like to know some things too:

> How fast is the running speed in comparison to crysis/wars?

> I'm not understanding this really, there's no speed mode? So the max running speed in "armor" is the max speed you can move without falling?

> Is there any air control? As in, if you rotate the camera or strafe in mid-air, do you actually move? If so, how fast?

> What factors increase bullet spread and recoil, and how much? If you strafe while shooting and don't use iron sights, is your gun accurate enough to hit every shot from 30 meters if your aim was good? How much lower is the recoil while using iron sights? When you use iron sights, how much slower is your movement speed? Is there an option for "simple iron sights" like in crysis/crysis wars?

> Can you shoot while sprinting?

> How many shots does it take to kill someone with a scar?

> How much more damage do headshots over body shots?

> How effective are pistols at killing someone compared to a scar? Is the recoil/spread lower or the same?

> How fast can you change directions (left/right) when strafing in comparison to crysis?

> What is the default FOV? Is it a client side variable?

> How much damage do you take from falling in comparison to crysis?

> Do you know what the items are you acquire from "leveling up"? If so, do they improve your ability to kill people?

If you hold spacebar whilst jumping, you jump higher and can also glide a little.

Guys, they played it for like 10 minutes at gamescom XD

"> I'm not understanding this really, there's no speed mode? So the max running speed in "armor" is the max speed you can move without falling?"
There are 2 speeds: Normal walking (WASD) and sprinting which uses suit energy (hold shift)

Speed and strength are always on from what i have heard, i won't have any problems with just 2 modes, i only used armor strength and speed anyway... (Strength for strafejumps only basically, i never punch)

He's not wrong :( watch this video and pay atention to the energy bar while sprinting... thing is you dont even go that much faster than the normal sprint in the 1st crysis let alone in when speed mode...

Okay Crytek, I have grit my teeth to alot of changes that have been made from the 1st Crysis but this is just really bad... this is just a very bad way of making it for console gamers to use, for us PC gamers we had choice for Sprint with or without speed mode... why can't you please make there 3 suit modes like say 'Stealth, Armor and a "Power Mode" that is Speed and strenght put into one. I'm sure alot more people would agree with me on this idea...

And this is how it COULD work... intead of having 'Q' for turning on Armor and 'E' for turning on stealth, have Armor Mode as a set Defult (like in the 1st Crysis) and then have 'Q' To turn on and OFF said "power mode" and then 'E' To turn on and OFF Stealth mode... so when suit modes are turned 'OFF' your left with Armor mode so that way PC gamers and console gamers can both use this set up... so thats 3 suit modes with the use of only 2 buttons... then everyones happy :)

Who agrees with me that this would be good idea, and yet not a hard thing for Crytek to change?

I may even start a new thread about this... I want this to be heard

wow cool, new game footage! thanks blake_gedye for that link.

From what i saw the xbox version looks really good despite its limitations, and of course the pc version looks amazing (not that i could see much of a difference as of yet).

Your more thqn welcome, I thought everyone had seen this one already, but yeah, nice footage shame that the PC wasn't at a better spec.

I did pick up on a couple of differences between the 2, the Xbox seemed to lag alot more than the PC and the graphics wasn't as smooth on the xbox.
