They're there.

How long did it take you to see ALL of the random encounters out in the world? 10 hours? 50? 100?

I'll be the first to join you when you pick on areas where they actually screwed up. This isn't one of them.

I walk everywhere, I've done the DLC 4 times and I'm coming off of 100hrs of Dawngaurd; No wild werewolves.

Currently continuing to level and lay waste to any who oppose my rule!!! cept for Falkreath, that for some reason i have left untouched...maybe due to them venerating Arkay...i mite not worship the guy but i respect him out of all the divines.I just would love to go hand to hand in VL form against a wolfy manmer

Its possible that the cells have yet to activate the werewolf spawning system. In this case (if I remember properly) it takes 30 ingame DAYS for it to begin working.

There are wild werewolves. I played the Dawnguard side for 40 hours, I only seen them once on the second to last day before I finished the DLC. I personally like that they're rare, because it makes coming across them more of a surprise. I was walking the Rift Hold at night (The dirt road on the side of Shor's Stone) and came across 2 fully formed wild werewolves.

I have 347 hours in Skyrim (other file has 21 hours), level 63 and I always walk (don't fast travel or use horses). I was feeling a bit letdown not seeing them, but it was cool when they showed up.

I fast traveled to Saarthal and had a werewolf encounter behind and to the right of the fast travel spawn spot. It was a man named "Farmer" who had killed his wife, also named "Farmer" and then he said "Oh god, what have i done?" then transformed into a werewolf and ran away.

Now that is something I'm glad to hear. Sounds like decent immersion for a change.

I think they screwed up here, considering these werewolves can't infect you.

I agree that they should be able to infect you,

Im not encountering the problem of not finding them. They are rare, but they are around.

Try walking just off the side of roads at night, thats when I most often run into them.

Wouldnt want them to be as common as dragons would you? ;)

One of the random hunters became one and attacked me. Just for the record...

Agreed.

But they are, in fact, there.

I've encountered them as a group of already transformed werewolves in the Rift somewhere.

They're called random encounters for a reason.

Random means anywhere but does not mean no werewolves. I have not seen werewolves at all: I have not seen them at night, in the rift, or anywhere.

No it means you may randomly run into them. You are just unlucky.

Some people will run into them every night, some people may never seem them. It's random.

No it is suppose to be random encounters not extremely rare encounters.

Have you ever heard of "RNG"? It's not a hard concept to grasp.
