As the title says, I'm not looking for camping mods, rather I'm looking for good places you have found to make use of those mods: places that are scenic, have a relatively open and flat area to erect a tent or lay down a bedroll, and are not too close to civilization or hostile spawn points.

My primary motivation in asking relates to my Aela follower mod. Aela supposedly grew up hunting across Skyrim, so I want to be able to have her suggest good near-by campsites to the player.

But I also think, given the popularity of camping mods, that it would be cool to compile something of a "Guide to the Campsites of Skyrim" that we can all use. If there are enough good suggestions, I could even make an in-game book of it, if people like.

So, screenshots, UESP map coordinates--let's see 'em!

This is a brilliant idea and one I would certainly find useful if it did get turned into a book.

Unfortunately, for my part, the one place I love to camp the most using the portable campsite mod, is in Ivarstead. Right next to the inn! Lovely place to set up there and look over the river, catch fish and cook. But I will look for other good campsites, away from civilization and report back with them.

I camp up by the Steed Stone, in a look nook to the north of it. It's not perfectly flat, but it's got a nice view!

There is a location in the forest where B1gBadDaddy placed his woodsman shack which I think is a really sweet spot, it's close to the river so you can fish and as it's in the wilderness hunting wouldn't be to much of a problem ether. There is however a fort to the West with bandits but unless you bother them they won't bother you.
