Hello,

As part of the 'Forbidden Legend' quest you have to travel to a placed called Folgunthur. Inside there's a pillar puzzle where you have to have the correct symbols facing outwards. I've completed the puzzle (snake, fish, bird), but when I go to activate the sealed grate the switch simply fires arrows instead. I need to open the grate in order to proceed further through the dungeon (which apparently contains a dragon shout and is 1/3 of a big side quest). I tried reloading my game (even switching my PS3 on and off), fast travelling somewhere else and returning, inputting incorrect symbols and then correcting it, but nothing works; I simply can't proceed further into the dungeon because the path won't open. This is the first big bug I've come across, and it's very disappointing.

Does anybody have any idea of how I can resolve the problem, and, if not, is Bethesda aware of it, and are they going to be fixing it?

I have the same problem in the mission under saarthal there is no solution and as result the walls just spew poisoned arrows at u

You have to do "mirror effect" its not snake, fish, bird but bird, fish, snake just change these two, activate it and gate will be open

In doing that puzzle I found that in front of each pillar on the floor is a small arrow line up the symbols with it, not sure if it was part of the mechanism but I then ran over a pressure plate at the opposite end of the room from the entry just before entering the small alcove. Pulling the chain then popped the grate.

For some reason I can't turn the 3 pillars, it says activate but nothing happens...so I guess I'm stuck....playing on PS3, plus my save file is almost 7mb.....
